We have been so happy with Airesmith. They have installed a mini split and replaced our central a/c at our home as well as done duct cleanings and maintenance. Erin in the office has been very helpful and kept me updated on all appointments. Every tech has been so nice and very professional! I very highly recommend them and would give more stars if I could!

They're either completely dishonest or technically inept. Either way, I'll never use them again. I called them based on their high recommendations from the universal city Facebook page. My downstairs HVAC unit was inoperable. The tech arrived and initially diagnosed a short and blown fuse in the blower. He allegedly changed the fuse (at a price of $200) and then proceeded to tell me that my circuit board on the outside unit is blown.

But not to worry, they can replace it for the low price of $600+ along with a $71 part acquisition fee (for a part that's covered under warranty?), and that the blown board might not be the only thing wrong; I might need a new thermostat (at a cost of $300!), along with other uncertainties. The tech didn't instill any degree of confidence in me. I also observed him seemingly staring off into space while at his van multiple times. Anyhow, I tentatively agreed to them pursuing the blown board because, what do I know?

I later called a friend who knows HVAC stuff. He was able to obtain a new board and install it, so I tell Airesmith to stand down. My friend arrives with the new board, only to tell me the board in question is completely fine. Not "blown" in the slightest. I ultimately went with an entirely different company to solve the problem because my friend didn't have time to diagnose (but he did recommend a trusted company who did earn my trust at a reasonable price).

The ultimate fix had nothing to do with the board or the outside unit, and was relatively simple. So, I paid $200 to learn that I'll never use Airesmith ever again. They might have some technicians who are good, but they sure burned a bridge with me. Oh, and now I have a spare board. hooray!

Highly recommend: They are awesome! If you live in the Converse, TX area I highly recommend them. I was comfortable the whole time, they cleaned any mess that was made, and they made sure I was aware of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I would give more stars if I could. I just moved here and me heater went out just when the weather was getting cold. Ovie came over and found the problem, ordered the part and they came back to replace the part the next day. Sam came over and replaced the part. After done, found out it was not the problem. They didn't charge me for the expensive part and after some fidgeting, he found the problem, replaced a part and was on his way.

Everyone was so nice including Erin who let me know what was going on. I was impressed with the 'Johnny on the spot' attitude. I will give your name to anyone that asks. First recommended off my neighborhood facebook page, and now I know why

Ralph came to our home after 9 p.m. After trouble shooting, he found a faulty breaker with our AC unit. With a toddler and a newborn, having our home not adequately cooling is not an option. We've always used Airesmith and last night especially solidifies our reason why.

I have used Airesmithe since 2004 and have NEVER had one problem with any service they have done. 95% was routine servicing, but when I have needed them they come to the house the same day. Most of these trips are for easily fixed issues. Their twice a year servicing is worth every penny. They don't have a hundred trucks running around the city upselling you.

If they recommend something to help your system it is a sound move. Their company is run to perfection thanks to owner John Smith. He hires technicians who know their job in part because he has his pulse on the entire operation. The gals in the office who answer the phone are the best. See you next week for a duct cleaning.

Forget about the local big name servicers that have commercials on TV! I have been going down that road for the past 19 years and they were all mediocre at best, always trying to upsell me on something "recommended, " costing hundreds of dollars. I decided to try a different company and turned to Airesmith. I couldnt be happier! The technicians are very professional, courteous, and thorough.

Their work is top notch and the pricing is the best I have ever come across. I am a licensed Realtor and Airesmith is now the ONLY company I will recommend to all of my clients for their heating and cooling needs.

Airesmith just installed the second the second central unit in my wife's small rental house. All went smoothly and as promised. The first one lasted 16 years. They took care of us very well the few times we needed service. I do not expect things to change. Highly recommended.

Im a new customer and i only used them since my homeowner policy sent them to me, so this is a totally unbiased objective opinion, obviously. this company's tech person showed up on time and less than 24 hrs from when i initially talked to them--the previous *3*, yes 3, hvac firms either never contacted me or canceled their initial check up appointment. so on the 4th try, the third party insurance firm got me in touch with Airesmith. i wish other firms could be as quick and follow- through as they said they would like the Airesmith people!

Like clock work, the office lady said the part my gas heater needed would arrive in about 7 days from out of state (its an old unit the part is hard to come by). sure enough, on day 7 the tech crew arrived to install said part!. the hassle of dealing with unit warranties and insurance companies was kept to a minimum due to Airesmith office staff. so yeah, im very happy of course with this crew. ill be getting an estimate for a full hvac system upgrade / install from them in the coming year. so far so good ! ps yes the house is warm and comfortable during this cold snap .

Best ac company in San Antonio. Reliable experts with ac. Casey, tech, the best. Comes to house on time with call ahead. Dressed in perfect uniform and does not upsell service. Explains ways to optimize operations - filters. Duct cleaning pros/cons. Effectiveness of UV system. Owner John Smith manages a great business. On a visit today 7/31/2019 he diagnosed a capacitor that was quite old and was showing reduced reading. Changed it thus having a separate call in the near future to replace. If you are on their service contract, you receive10% discount on parts and service. Jack

I was just told that my mothers air conditioning couldn't be fix until tomorrow. It's in the 90's inside her house, she's 71 years of age and has been a customer for over 25 years. For several years she's had great customer service and tech's have done a great job. Tonight, I had to drive into drive to San Antonio to take her and her dogs to a hotel room. This was a huge disappointment. Very worried.

Was very happy with them after the install many years ago. The quality of service deteriorated over the years & then they tried to sell us a new unit on every occasion they could. We finally quit using them. Had our AC repaired well over a year ago for a reasonable price & it still runs great! I want a company I can trust.

Aire Smith to the rescue! I arrived home from work to house at 82 degrees. My husband is disabled and we have 3 fur babies. Aire Smith responded and repaired it within 3 hours of us being aware of the issue. Daniel was so understanding and patient of the curiosity of our 3 furry children.

Where do I start. This company is garbage and then got the nerve to charge me 2246.00 to replace a compressor that was under warranty. Went with other company who charged me under half the amount given by AireSmith and did way more professional work than AireSmith was willing to do. Thank you Airtron. AireSmith I wouldn't recommend you to my worst enemy. Never will i call this mom and pop shop for shit and I highly recommend you do the same. They were lucky to get one star.

On time. Call ahead. No up-sell and techs who are professionally dressed and knowledgeable in servicing. Only do what is necessary. Request Casey. Been to my home several times Excellent alternative to Airtron. All techs are well versed in ac matters Have serviced my system for 18 years - Schertz

10 years ago, AireSmith assisted me in correcting some bad work by another company. They really got me out of a jam. A few years later, they installed a new system and have been servicing it since. All great work. What is really nice is knowing the owner is only a phone call away, or he may surprise you and show up in person. That's worth a lot.

I notice water draining from my secondary AC drain outside. I called AireSmith and the nicest lady answered the phone and politely listened to my confused request for help. I was able to schedule a visit the same afternoon. They called me when the technicians were on their way. George and Larry came over and gave me a detailed inspection report, fixed my blocked drain, and recommended additional suggestions to keep my system running at peak performance. Polite, professional, and part of the community! Thank you for the great service.

TLDR - super low on refrigerant, was asked to diagnose my own system, scare tactics and attempts to try to sell me parts and services that weren't in my best interests (or needs, as I'm sitting in 75 degree air a week later), and then charged $531 for the whole thing. They fixed my problem but it wasn't pretty. My problem: plenty of air moving but it was ambient temperature at best.

After asking me where the problem was (inside/outside - strange question from someone certified to work on AC systems to someone who clearly isn't), the guy decided to look at the guts of the air handler inside anyway. Not sure what could have possibly been wrong there but it was all of 2 minutes before we wound up outside. Every YouTube video I'd watched prior to the service call showed you top up the refrigerant from the outside unit - my house was no different.

I'm still not sure why we checked anything inside and he didn't explain what he was looking for there (didn't think to ask, honestly). Outside, we finally made progress. Sure enough my refrigerant was at half the PSI it should've been. This is where things really went south. There was a technician doing the work, and one that was there mainly as backup. Mr. Backup offered up two choices - a stop-leak fluid + refrigerant top-up, or they could locate the source of the leak manually (somehow).

The latter, he told me - even though HE hadn't been in my house - would no doubt reveal that some coils in my air handler had somehow rusted through and that there would be a hole letting out the refrigerant. Not sure about his theory there as the pressure held steady while he explained that these coils would cost about $2900 and that the leak trace was ~$400 and blah blah blah.

They weren't going back in my house at this point. Once I decided to go with the stop-leak, Mr. Backup went back to the truck and the technician started slowly adding refrigerant and monitoring everything along the way. This guy was super thorough, explained everything he was watching as he was working, and told me about his military service. Great dude.

The whole appointment up to this point felt like they were leaning on me to identify a problem for them to fix vs. me being the dumb customer I am just describing the symptoms we were living with. At no point was there a recommended course of action. No one ever said "this is what I'd do if it were mine". It felt like they were trying to lure me into going with the slightly cheaper leak location which would only lead me to some other "problem" that would inevitably cost more.

I wish I didn't have to jump through those hoops. I guess I'll keep looking for that "guy in a truck" operation that'll shoot straight with me and not charge a kidney. The weirdest part, I needed to sign a piece of paper for payment that the technician had PRE-CHECKED the monthly payment box for their service club. This club gets you (a little) reduced prices on services in exchange for $13/month. Strangely, you can pay for that one month and be done with it, or you can call and cancel anytime.

Either way, the club membership does save you a little money but I can't come up with a reason for paying for it month after month. If you have problems that often, you're better off calling someone else in my opinion. Basically, this experience was what I expected from some huge company like Arnold Moos/John Wayne where they've got an advertising budget and mega fleet to pay for. Asking me what part of the AC system the problem was in after I explained my symptoms, trying to get me to pay for services they likely knew I didn't need, and the high cost severely outweighed my good experiences with their receptionist and the one technician.

Airesmith responded to my negative review on 6/16/2017 and offered to have the owner contact me about the issues raised in my review. I told them to have him call me as they have my info on record. However, it's now 6/202017 (four days later) and I haven't heard from anyone at Airesmith, including the owner. SO MUCH for their concern about customer satisfaction!

Excellent service and air conditioners. They came in and corrected mistakes made by another company and sold me an outside unit to match up with new unit in house. The unit in house was not hooked right they stayed until they corrected all the miscues of the other air conditioning company.

Airesmith recently installed a new A/C unit. From the initial visit by Darren to the completion of the install, it went smoothly and on time. Darren gave us all the information we needed and was patient as we made our decision. The appointment was made for the installation and they were on time and worked extremely hard to get the unit in in one day since it was very hot. They cleaned up extremely well and everyone we met was neat and helpful. They followed up to make sure it was working correctly and we had no concerns.

I was doing research and getting estimates recently for a full replacement of my HVAC system this past month. After getting nearly 10 estimates, I decided to go with Airesmith. They weren't the cheapest, but they also weren't the most expensive. It was after the owner came out himself to give his input on the install that I decided to stick with them.

We use Airesmith on 2 rental home properties as well as 2 family home properties for servicing, and the peace of mind John gave me about the install was what made up my mind. He stuck by the original quote despite a few changes and custom work that were necessary to get the job done. During my research, I was very surprised at the lack of comments on yelp, google reviews, etc., even though Airesmith has been in business longer than any of the other companies that came out for estimates.

I wanted to be sure and give a solid review to eliminate any doubt other customers may have as they come across Airesmith in their own searches. You can feel confident if you choose Airesmith for your HVAC needs.
