I seldom write reviews, but I had to share this positive experience with potential Anchor customers. In August 2021, I purchased two new HVAC systems from Anchor. One for upstairs and the second for downstairs. After interviewing five companies and performing my research, I decided to go with Anchor for this purchase. Their salesman (Allen Davis) was very professional and explained all available equipment options.

I really appreciate his customer-centric approach. He listened to my requirements for the new system and recommended options that were in line with my budget. The system was installed in August 2021 by a great install team (Cody and Todd). They were very meticulous and explained everything they were doing during the install. The install team even used drop cloths to protect my carpet from getting dirty.

Once the system was installed, it worked perfectly without any issues until I used the furnace in late December. When I used the furnace for the first few times, I noticed that it didn't sound quite right. So, I observed it during a few cycles and realized that the burners were turning on for a few minutes and then shutting off. This cycle repeated itself multiple times until the thermostat reached the desired temperature I wanted in my home.

During my observation, I noticed there was an error code (E04) flashing on the furnace's circuit board. I checked the manual and it indicated this code was an "open temperature limit circuit" fault. From my research on the Internet, this fault is triggered when the furnace's internal temperature reaches the max limit set by the factory. This is usually caused by a restriction of airflow.

Most of my Internet research recommended changing the air filter to see if this would fix the issue. However, this didn't work, so I called Anchor to come take a look. This resulted in three service technicians (Larry, Micah, and Rusty) coming out to investigate and to troubleshoot the furnace. We tried a few things such as adjusting gas pressures for the burners, replacing an electronic damper, and even replacing thermostats.

After exhausting our options, it was determined that my furnace was oversized. Initially, I had a 60K BTU furnace and the new furnace was rated at 80K BTU. Apparently, the new 80K BTU furnace was blowing too much heat and my ducts may have been a little undersized to handle this volume of airflow. After following up with the service manager (David Bentley), he explained that I would need to have my furnace replaced with a 60K BTU two stage furnace to correct this issue. Initially, I was concerned that I would have to pay for the new furnace, but David assured me I wouldn't, and that Anchor would make things right.

Once the new furnace arrived, the original team (Cody and Todd) completed the install. Similar to the first, they installed the furnace with great precision and care. Jeremy (service tech) tuned the system and set everything up to work perfectly. As of this review, I am happy to report that the new furnace is working well, and the E04 "open temperature limit circuit" fault is history.

Thank you Anchor for standing behind your products and workmanship! I am pleased with the resolution and look forward to doing more business with you in the future. You earned my trust. Thank you again for your professionalism!

I made an appointment with Anchor Heating & Air, as my AC units were not cooling properly. Jeremy P. arrived at my home the next morning and completed a thorough check of my system. Luckily for me, it turned out to be a setting on one of my thermostats that was the issue. Jeremy P. explained the issue and how to fix it in the future. He also suggested next steps in the event my system was not operating properly in the future. If I ever have to set up a service call in the future, I hope Jeremy P. is my technician. I highly recommend Anchor Heating & Air.

Anchor replaced our HVAC system, including zoning. We initially selected Anchor for their competitive pricing, Trane equipment, and their ability to add zoning to our home. Following our initial installation (which replaced a 27-year-old system), we experienced loud vents & heavy air flow in half of the house. Anchor came out multiple time to assess the issue and implement several solutions.

We really appreciate the follow through and dedication this company has shown to ensure we are happy with our significant investment. Every person we interacted with was professional, friendly, and very helpful.

We bought a Train HVAC unit to replace our home's original unit which died about a year ago. We used Anchor then so we called them this time when the air cooled by the unit suddenly began smelling like dirty socks. Rusty was dispatched to our home and very quickly zeroed in on the problem. He explained our issue, answered all our questions, and assured us that he would have a replacement coil ordered for us.

We were so impressed by his knowledge and expertise. Anchor was already the best HVAC installation and service company around, in my book. After spending a few minutes talking to Rusty, I'm going to start telling other people about them.

I scheduled an appointment for Anchor Heating and Air to complete an $89 diagnostic. The technician arrived and began analyzing the situation. He went in and out of the attic several times before informing me of the problem. At that time, he never asked me if I wanted him to make any repairs. He simply stated that my charges were $89 and he returned to his truck to complete the invoice.

When he returned from his truck, he returned with an apology for making a "mistake", by misquoting me that my final cost was $89 and presented me with the new cost of $164. I immediately called and spoke with someone at the office and was spoken to as if I am a child or not intelligent enough to understand what had taken place. I was also told that the incident would be investigated and that someone from management would reach out to me to speak with me, in an attempt to resolve this matter. Currently, I am still awaiting that telephone call. I was very disappointed with the manner in which this incident was handled and the way that I was spoken to.

Since the year 2001, I have been an Anchor HVAC repeat customer. This local company is hardcore ingrained in customer retention, customer satisfaction, customer honesty. I had a natural gas bill that was a clip over $600 February 1999. Everyone in the house was wearing sweaters and we were all still cold. I couldn't afford to pay those high gas therm fees any longer and I researched why my bill was so high.

It was a variety of reasons, one of which was my HVAC unit. It was old, inefficient and unable to provide comfort. I found Barry at Anchor. 2001 would be my last cold suffrage in the house. Barry and I agreed to instal a Geothermal unit. The following 19 years since, I MAY have paid $55 in a single month, one time, maybe. Typically the range is mid $40s.

The retrofit instal is not cheap, it is not for the homeowner that is planning on moving in the next couple of years. But if you are in the home for at least 10 years, just read the rest of this review, just go and get it. The REI is legit. Today at Anchor, my unit is under the governance of Hal. A terribly patient man, honest, intelligent and speaks the english I understand.

The annual service may not seem necessary, so I would caution against any notion to dismiss it. The unit installed is not a problem child, but I know that the annual service is one reason why. So please incorporate a budget to accommodate your investment. Lastly, I am confident that any technician deployed to your home to service the unit is competent and more than qualified.

For me, Doug is the go to Technician. He knows the unit, he is quick in assessment, he is thorough. Pick your technician and keep him. This unit is powerful in regulating and supplementing my natural gas consumption. The unit heats my water tank for free during the warmer months of the year, reducing my natural gas usage. The summer months are hot, of course, this unit provides ample comfort cooling properties all summer long.

I know I pay a third of what my neighbors pay in the summer as it relates to their electric bill. It's the best several thousand dollars I ever spent on a home. It will sting, but before it's all over, you'll ask yourself why you waited.

I will use Anchor for every HVAC need I have. All of their staff is nice and friendly. Both techs I've had are extremely polite and knowledgable. They don't try to upsell you on things you don't need. My tech went out of his way to get me a new part I needed same day so that I'd have my heat fixed before the weekend. Also, add an easy time getting an appointment scheduled.

A friend of mine reccomended Anchor to me when her air conditioner broke. She called Anchor and they came right over to fix it. Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky and my system was old and needed to be replaced. They were very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. They also sent my friend $100 for the referral and took $100 off of my AC system. About a week later they sent me some amazing cookies! Sweet!

In short, if you want excellent service, qualified technicians and great customer service, Anchor Heating and Cooling is the first/last stop for superior service. I had been a Coolray customer for 15+ years, unfortunately the last 5 years have been totally disappointing and abysmal. I have (2) 4 Ton Trane Units in my home, one for upstairs the other downstairs.

The technician Gerald came out to check the upstairs system, because it was making a noise. He diagnosed the system had problems with the heating strips in the heat pump, muffler blown off and no Freon in system, plus possible damage to compressor. He presented me the blown off muffler and wanted to charge $2672 to fix the system. I had my suspicion and began to question him, I googled what a muffler was, when he could not provide the right answer, I showed him on my phone what it does according to google. BTW, he stated google was wrong and proceeded to discuss his 17yrs of experience.

I called Anchor Heating & Cooling, they immediately came out diagnosed the problem and found that Gerald - Coolray had sabotaged my system, by cutting off the muffler; therefore exposing the compressor and leaking out 14lbs of Freon at $100/pound of R22. Also, this damaged the coils because they left the system running. Hal, Danny, Lane, Alan, Christa, Danielle and Dana THANK YOU!
