Central Supply & Metal Central Supply and Metal Company was set up in 1948. Purchased in 1983 by Carl Baardsen, Central Supply has been family owned & operated for the past twenty five years. It has expanded from being a one truck, three employee firm to a fleet of 15 service trucks and 40 employees.

I too have used this company for 12 to 15 years, and they have installed 4 units for myself and at least 3 for friends I have referred. However, the company/install management has drastically changed over the past several years and it has been a downhill slide as far as quality and honesty. Originally they were low to reasonably priced and seemed to care about their work and reputation, but no longer.

For a friend, they didn't fabricate a box for the ceiling-installed blower, but instead stapled or screwed some sheet metal to the inside of the opening, therefore making it not all that sealed. The next job they did for him, they didn't ever reconnect the condensate line in the Condo, so when humid weather came in late June 2021, the Condo below was complaining of water coming down through their ceiling.

The condensate was dripping at the blower unit because the pipe was not tilted down enough to carry the water away. Any that did get past this poor install was dripping out where it was disconnected further along the line. I last hired them in September 2021 and they diagnosed and fixed the unit in less than an hour, but claimed they were there 1 hour 13 minutes and upped the charge to an hour and a half at $100 per hour because "after an hour they next increment is 1 1/2 hours".

They charged from the moment the van came on the property, but were nowhere to be found for apparently the first 15 minutes. Then apparently I was charged by the hour for the time it took to write up the bill. Thumbs down, and steer clear.

Very dishonest company. My property manager sent them to service my AC and they have failed to fix it the multiple times they come out. I spoke to the guy once and he was going to send someone over. The next day a new guy came tested the amount of air coming and said he would order parts. They supposably came and made fixes but just left and did t mention anything to my mom who was at home waiting for them to say something.

This happened multiple times and they kept telling my property manager that no one was home when my mom was home every single time. In the last ocasion they actually knocked and my 8 year old son answered because my mom was changing. My son told him my mom was changing and Joe told him he was going to the roof. Joe never knocked again and left once he was done.

He told the property manager that there was only a minor at home and that he couldn't go inside without an adult present. Considering that my son is 8 years old I don't know what kind of common sense these employees have that an 8 year old would be home alone. Then they told my property manager that the damage was done because I didn't change the filter.

The property manager started blaming me for damages done to the AC even though I have only lived here for 3 months and changed the filter monthly these 3 months. Once the property manager realized this they backed off. They are liars and provide terrible service. The only reason they are being used is because my property manager sends them. If it was up to me I would never use them ever. There are so many A/C companies in AZ since it's a importan field in Phoenix. Choose anyone but them

OMGOSH! Here I was, ,,m y A/C went out, while I was with a client, ,, That particular client recommended Central Supply, ,,a nd they were out the the first thing in the AM, ,, WOW! From the beginning Myra, Ariel & Joe were excellent communicators and keeping me on track with my technicians, Mathew & Martin-the two "MARVELOUS" brothers, who obvious had a sincere passion for helping & serving within their company, ,,w ho Matthew by the way, ,,w as personally "mentored" by his Uncle who possessed years of highly professional expertise in the industry.

They were on time, quick, proficient, professional, thorough, and also great communicators, and I felt very comfortable in what all the technical details that they were "explaining" to me. Sometimes challenging to find such extreme professionalism and integrity, plus all the other qualities we all are seeking in a "great" company offering services in our beautiful "Valley of the SUN"! Deena Trudy, Joseph Contreras here from Central Supply and Metal. I want to thank you for the opportunity to come back out and take another look at the Heater. I am happy we were able to find the root of the problem and take care of it for you. on a different note, Mike our tech is a veteran of 20 years in the HVAC, it is possible he could have had a bad day or it was an intermittent problem and i just got it when it wasn't working. Hopefully you could give him another chance Than you so much for allowing us to service your HVAC needs Joe Contreras

First time this company came out, Mike, the service guy was unable to fix the heat. He did say it was fixed and was only here 10 minutes but no heat was working. I called and complained and the general manager came out with another service worker for about an hour and a half and fixed my heat. It turned out to be the thermostat after he checked and was able to replace it but gave no reason as to why Mike said nothing was wrong.

Lots of promises made, not a single one delivered. Very minimal stock, and a huge waste of my time and money. I always try to buy local, even though I expect to pay more. I'll continue to do this, just not ever again at this shop.

This is THE place to go if you need to replace your AC's capacitors. Most will be around 50 bucks or so vs nearly $200 for the same part from the repair man. Great service and staff!

We had them redo all of our ducts. We had an old house with lots of air leaks, so new ductwork was due. They did a great job! These guys are real knowledgeable in the business. They also worked with us because the time frame wasn't the greatest, I got a kidney stone and the time the demo (we had to do some demo before they came in) was supposed to be complete, for them to come in, and so it was def a few days behind.

They were patient and helpful, and we appreciated that. The price was fair, and the work was great! After getting multiple quotes, and a very high recommendation from a friend who did HVAC for over 35 years, I def trusted them. It was a good call. They are helpful even with just asking questions. Def try them out.

Good work good prices professional staff and easy to work with. I have use them for AC repair AC preventative maintenance and AC deducting.

I'm sure they normally don't forget to put orders in, but in my case I called with an urgent order that needed to be done the next day, they said no problem by 11 or 12. I go to pick it up at 3pm and that's when I'm informed that the gentleman forgot to put my order in so my drain pan never got made.they did try their best to remedy the situation by calling other vendors, unfortunately it was for a tour group that was only going to be in town that one night. So just make sure you double check on your order to make sure it made it to the shop floor.

I have used and central supply for the past 15years. They have always been there when i needed them. The team work within the organization is superb. Great communication from the staff to customer. I never hesitate to recommend them, they are as good as it gets.

Our realtor recommended this company to fix the unit in our rental. They were fantastic about contacting our tenant and scheduling to see her the very next day. We waited to hear from the company about what needed fixing and how much it would be. Never heard from them. My husband received a call yesterday asking where to mail the invoice. Understandably, he was frustrated about not being notified about the repairs before they were done and what the cost would be.

He expressed his frustration and the woman completely ignored it and continued asking where she could mail the invoice. Did they forget? Possibly. Things happen and I understand. But it is not okay to gloss over an unhappy customer without even so much as an "I'm sorry. We should have called you and I'm sorry we didn't." There are too many choices out there these days to work with companies who don't care about their customers.
