CSR was prompt in responding to my request and was able to fit me in quickly for an appointment., It's important to maintain my heating system in my Tax office before clients arrived to a cold lobby. He tried to teach me how to use my thermostat but I already forgot how to do it so I will have to you tube it. I am going to call to schedule AC system maintenance for the summer time, once summer finally arrives.

Landlord left it up to me to get the electric panel upgraded so I could have an outlet on the patio and bring the kitchen up to code. Jace made sure not to disrupt the office functions unecessarily as well keep the wall damage to a minimum. I look forward to scheduling time to get an outlet in the bathroom soon. We use the weatherproof outlet on the patio all the time so I can have blue rope lights on the roofline glow at night.

Loretta was the rudest person on the phone ever. They stated they called to cancel our appointment again because of someone calling out, my husband is 64 and tells me the only one nice on the phone was Susan. That he was treated rude several times now. I have had hardly Any sleep since April 15 no heat for a month my daughter has flesh eating bacteria and has major wound care that I do 24/7 I'm exhausted.

My daughter was told if she almost died ( by Loretta ) that maybe she would treat people nicer. This isn't even the case this situation is horrific we've been without Heat for one month it took 2 weeks for an appointment. And another week to get the part. Now the man calls out again today the day of our appointment to fix this. First off this man who's not made it into work we understand back problems we have them but why could this job not been given to someone else today I can't imagine that 600 jobs are on the books for furnaces?

And only one man can come here but he's called out again! I'm mentally and physically and emotionally drained from what I have been dealing with with wound care in my daughter's body I'm up every two hours I'm 63 years old and should never have to be talked over or yelled at. My husband just called me to tell him their now not coming and won't give him the name of the part so we can order it ourself.

I expect a company who's been in business for 38 yrs to act professional instead of arguing with us. I mean talking over is to where we had to yell at Loretta to shut up! This is unprofessional totally uncalled for and they say they don't feel comfortable sending a tech here when she's the whole problem! and they stated they called my phone to cancel well my phone has security on it if a number doesn't show a name it's automatically sent into the blocked area. Need your furnace fixed don't call this company!

WE ALREADY FOUND Another company, kind and caring unlike yours! Loretta tells my daughter who almost died in March she needed to treat others better that woman is a complete Narcissist! ( My husband is licensed in HVAC he also was verbally attacked by Loretta)that's why he let his phone go to voice mail.! We Have our new company coming covid protected unlike yours who walked right in with our a mask or gloves!.

We have everything recorded as well! I can't do my dishes pay bills do laundry let alone wait on someone to fix this furnace. Totally ridiculous can't Call another technician when a person calls out! Treated my husband bad then blamed me and my daughter loretta did total narcissist female! Can't admit guilt said they called Me my security on my phone if it doesn't show a name it's automatically blocked. But that's my fault. This business needs to not have Loretta in charge of anything especially not customer service totally rude!

Bob B. came out the same afternoon that we called regarding our failing water heater. He wrote up an estimate for replacement of our 22 year old water heater on a Friday, and came to replace it on the following Tuesday. The only concern that I have is that the replacement was not Energy Star certified so we didn't get a $50.00 rebate through PSE. Maybe such heater was not available and we needed something right away. Am not sure as I did not discuss this with him. Maybe he did with my husband? Besides very knowledgeable and professional, he was good at explaining things to people not very familiar with water heaters!

Hot water tank pilot light wouldn't stay lit and I called on a late Thursday afternoon-5 or 6pm and they squeezed me in for a next day appointment. The repair was quick and the cost was affordable.

Installed my furnace in a very tight fit area and also did some additional duct work. Very quick to come out and fix any issues. Very strong knowledge of their products and willingness to share details up front. I would highly recommend.

Installed our furnace a couple byrs back but the dang filter won't stay in the unit.guess I'll have to fix it on my own. Last year I got them to take a look at it and they added a bar to help, and it does help some but didn't fix the issue at all. House filtration is extremely important but I feel they kind of glazed over this fact. We do have them service our furnace yearly and generally they are pretty good.

Had them install a heat pump / AC unit in late 2017. Works great. They kept in contact about servicing the unit and walk me through the wifi-enabled thermostat instructions when I got wifi. People you want to do business with!

A team of five installed a mini heat pump with two interior units in my home in a little over 6 hours. They were professional, answered all my questions, and completed the work without breaking anything or cracking the lath and plaster wall. The Daikin units look great, and warms my living area more efficiently than my gas furnace. I look forward to testing the A/C this summer.

First let me start out with GREAT COMPANY. Can not say that enough! Second I have a mobile home do those arw not the easiest houses to work on so I give the installers all the credit in the world for having great patience and stayed on track even when other people work on the home before them was crappie. Great installer guys very professional! The wonderful ladies in the office are also very professional and very very helpful with payments and questions!

The company from the office to the field workers always kept me in the loop with my installation! If there was a problem or not they always kept me updated. Will definitely use them again!

Got through for an appointment for a routine check up on my gas furnace. Told I need to be available between 1-5p and the tech surprisingly arrived at 1p with a call prior to his arrival. After completing the service, the tech indicated the furnace was in good shape and should last for awhile. He also informed me of a weakness in all gas furnaces and there was indication of any leaks, Tech followed Covid-19 rules of wearing a mask during his visit. Gave me a few reminders like to change my filters regularly which I do. Completed the service in about 45 minutes or so.

We had this company replace our furnace and AC units and couldn't be happier. The team that did the work was extremely professional and knowledgeable. This was a project that basically took an entire day to accomplish and it was clear that the installers new exactly what they were doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs furnace or AC work. Our new high-efficiency system works better than our old system ever did. Great company and a great team of technicians.

I needed my Nest thermostat installed in my house on a heat pump system. I called Dick's heating in. Roland arrives, pushes on the thermostat latch, looks at the wires for 3 seconds and tells me it's not compatible and provides me the brilliant advice to call Nest to have it installed. Without further due pulls out the invoice book and start writing up his invoice for $75.

He then moved on to try and sell me some product I have absolutely no use for and that has nothing to do with my actual issue. This was the most expensive 2 minutes of my life. The tech had obviously no idea how to install the thermostat and did not offer any alternative or cost estimate on what it would take to have it installed and working. So I am left with no solution, 20 minutes and $75 wasted. Avoid this company.

The furnace and heat pump themselves seem to be good products. However, we've had endless issues with the ducts under the house and this company refuses to accept any responsibility. This is the second time our heating bills have been through the roof because the ducts have come loose and we're heating the crawl space under the house instead of the house itself.

They will find any excuse to avoid taking responsibility. I'm not sure how it could be anyone else's fault that the ducts THEY attached have come loose multiple times. It's almost as if they do it on purpose so they can come out every couple years and change us to reattach them. I know ducts aren't their main product/service but when they replace a furnace they have to reattach everything right? Unless you want to pay a company to repeatedly do the same crappy work, while wasting tons of money on heating bills, find someone else.

What started off as being a simple electrical wire installation for the outside of the building turned into quite an ordeal for the electrician but being the consummate expert that he is he stuck it out and finish the job much to my satisfaction it's exactly what I had in mind and will enable me to enjoy the good weather once we get it outside

My Ac unit was working but not as efficient as it usually was. I could tell something was wrong. Anyway technician comes out very nice until I say no way am I buying a whole new system. Tells me I need 3lbs of r-22 and the discount price for being such a long time customer almost 800 bucks plus tax. Loretta who always answers the phone said I'll call you back with a better discount.

She called and I told her to leave price on my voice mail but she didn't. So long story short I was lucky found a tech who had a bunch or r-22 which Dicks will treat like it's in such short supply because of the EPA. It is in shorter supply, but not that bad. He said it costs about 40 dollars a pound for R-22. So the 800 discount price they quoted me was such a mark up.

They new tech had me come out and watch him hook up the gauges and watch him install the r-22. Turns out I only needed 2lbs not 3. He charged me 200. Of course he's gotta make a living so a little labor cost for 15 min of work. Bottom line Dicks is a rip off. They didn't even check to see if I had a leak In the line. Very disappointed in them as a whole company. My unit is working perfectly now. Selling my house soon will tell them definitely don't use Dicks.

Great company with outstanding products, service and especially the people! Steve was great! He did not try to up sell me anything I didn't need, but explained all of my options very clearly. After the Dicks Heating team installed my high efficient gas furnace and air conditioning, my utility bills have decreased and the overall comfort has improved dramatically! The 10 year parts and labor warranty give me peace of mind! There is a reason they have been around so long. They have a customer for life!

Honest and reliable service. I purchased my furnace two years ago. They were honest and reasonably priced. Recently I had a service call and the repairman fixed the issue (sensor blockage) quickly. I recommend them.

Patrick C. In South hill Puyallup. The woman at the "service desk" was rude and would deflect my wife's questions, she said we had received a discount but the original quote price was what we payed. I called several other reputable plumbing services and their quote price was the same price we payed, so again not sure where or what this "discount" she spoke of was. Payed with my debit card they had no card reader or anyway to accept payment so they wrote my card number down, invoice was shoddy.

The service technicians that installed our water heater could not answer any questions my wife had and one of them cut his hand and left blood on our water heater. The job was done, I have hot water so I guess it was a success but I would consider your options before going with this company. Service was done on the 12 of August 2019.

We had one of their techs, Roland, help us with replacing our 25 year old heater that was breaking down. He carefully reviewed what we wanted the new furnace to do, measured the air flow and cooling system we wanted to add, and provided us with 3 different options. We chose the Coleman heater and heat pump option. It's been 3 years now and we are very happy with the system. The air flow is fantastic. The annual maintenance assures us that our system is always ready to go.

Phil H. Puyallup Our first service call from Dicks Heating & AC was in 1999 and has been outstanding and continuous thru 2019. Every technician has been knowledgeable, courteous, and on site as scheduled. Our original heat pump had lots of problems and lasted just 10 Years. In 2005 Dicks Heating & AC installed a new Armstrong heat pump and we have them do yearly maintenance or when called.

We had one situation where the housing filled with ice and Dicks came out late, put some heater blowers on the unit and came back the next morning to access and fix the problem and only charged for one house call. Equipment wears out and in January 2017 we had to replace a defrost board plus had other equipment judged close to crashing so Dicks gave me an estimate on cost to replace the heart pump but my call. Technician had concerns but confident he had serviced best he could and we could chose to keep running.

Same technician serviced our unit in 2018 and 2019 and we remain trouble free. When our heat pump gives up I will definitely go to Dicks Heating & AC for a replacement and maintenance!

Dick's was absolutely fantastic to deal with. I called this morning before they were open but did not leave a messsge. They saw they had missed my call and called me back when they opened. Hottest day of the year and my a/c decided to go out. To top it all off, it was a Saturday. Most places that showed on line that they are open on Saturdays want to charge an emergency fee.

Not Dicks. They got a tech out to me today and when he was running a little later than expected, theycalled to let me know. They repaired my a/c for what I believe was a very fair price and both the office person I spoke with and the Tech were very friendly and helpful. I also asked the tech to check my coolant level and he did and said it was fine.

He could have told me it needed more and I never would have known the difference. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate this company. I will definately be back when I need a/c or heater service.

Very expensive for the service. Called them up for system check and condenser (outside unit) cleaning. Tech was at my home in a little over 3 hours with a bill over $700, and that was with the 'Spring Discount'. And that did not include cleaning my electronic air filters. $200/hr is outrageous, even considering their overhead. In addition the tech failed to inspect the smaller 2nd unit air handler.

Update: the same night the furnace was repaired it stopped working. They came out again and told us that there was actually something ELSE wrong with it now. And that it was the motherboard. And that it was dirty and had to be cleaned. (Which he apparently didn't notice the day before when he was here fixing it or when he was here the week before estimating it.) But because they wanted to provide us "good" service, they weren't going to charge us.

Oh what? You aren't going to charge me more than the $900 I already gave you to actually have it work? Thanks. And then this. See photos attached. Today I get a letter in the mail with nothing but a PREPRINTED sheet on what goes into their "flat rate". No note. Apparently this is such a common complaint they got these printed. Stationary and supplies? Taxes?

Since my invoice also charged for tax I guess I'm paying yours now? Ridiculous. And thanks for your transparency "after the fact". Wish I could report better customer service, but Dick's continues to have none.

Worst customer service ever. Last year they came out and was late for there "window of time" eta arrival. They showed up close to 6 pm well beyond the 3-5pm window. Tech hurried the inspection and told me to call customer service to reschedule a new appointment because it was too late to service in the dark. I called in to customer service to voice my frustration.

Then to come to find out they were going to charge me another fee to come out. Ridiculous. I have several investment propertiea. Since then I have other HVAC companies come out and all of them were great. Stay away from Dicks. There name says it all.

First, let me say that I've worked in customer service, specifically dispatching service technician, in the past. A 4 hour window for service is unacceptable. According to the manager, Loretta, they have not changed that policy in 12 years. With the technology available today that seems archaic. None-the-less, I had to make the appointment for my landlord which then required me to take a half day off from my job.

At 2 pm I called to make sure that everything was still in order and was told I was the next stop. At 4:10 I called and was told he would arrive at 4:45 to 5. So why the 4 hour window? If I am booked as the last appointment of the day this shouldn't have been necessary. I had moved an appointment to after 5 but would need to leave at 5:15. I was told they couldn't guarantee that.

I was fairly unhappy. I did not yell or swear. I told Loretta I was unhappy and that I wasn't going to take another day off from work. She did nothing to diffuse the situation and instead gave several snide remarks even mentioning her being a mind-reader and a gypsy. I found her behavior extremely rude and unprofessional. Customer service is not an easy job. This woman is making it harder than it needs to. Making any attempt to compromise with me would have made me happy. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

On December 15th, 2017 I had one of Dick's Heating and Air Conditioning technicians to our house to fix my Trane XR80 furnace, installed by Dick's 8 1/2 years ago, because it stopped providing heat. It was determined that the control unit had shorted out and needed to be replaced at a cost of $731.55 plus tax or replace the furnace at a cost of $3,600 plus tax.

I expressed my concern about the seemingly excessive high price for either choice with the technician but because we were expecting 10 Vietnam Era veterans and their spouses for a Holiday Fellowship lunch at Noon that same day I was left with no choice but to have, at least, the module replaced by the technician. This unexpected cost certainly put a "crimp" on our Christmas spending since we are senior citizens on fixed incomes.

Two days later and wanting to get other estimates to compare pricing for the same service, I went on-line and received quotes from two other professional and seasoned Heating and AC companies in the Tacoma area and the cost for the same service including the replacement module for them to do it was between $225.00 including labor plus tax and $335.00 labor inclusive plus tax.

On further internet "surfing" I discovered that the cost of the part ranged between $109.00 and $145.00. With an approximate $75-$100 markup that meant that I was charged an additional $400.00 + tax by Dick's. Compared to Dick's pricing for the same service, I feel Dick's should refund me $435.00 to resolve this issue. This amount is based on subtracting the higher of the two other companies' estimates, $335.00 + 10.1 % tax @ $33.83 or $368.84 from $804.70 tax inclusive which I paid for Dick's service.

A certified letter to the President of the company providing all related documents was sent to Dick's and received by them on January 9th given him 10 days to contact or respond to me with my refund. To date, no response.

I have been using dicks now for about 10 years. I got hooked in with a plan where if you did services for 5 years you have free services for the rest of the time you're in your home. Bad service. I thought that they actually came out and serviced your unit. But the only thing they do take a couple readings. And then try to high pressure sell you another brand new unit or equipment.

So once a year I get someone to come over and tell me that I need a new air conditioning unit it's just basically a sales tactic. If I had to do all over again I wouldn't do it. Don't recommend it. It is way better just to get a home warranty. And then you don't have to worry about them leaving you outrageous estimates.

Today we had our furnace and A/C yearly service done by Roland. He was on time, professional, courteous and helpful. I was very impressed with him. We have used Dicks Heating and Air for many, many years. Anytime someone asks for a referral we always say "Dicks". You are lucky to have such a great employee

Our central A/C went out yesterday (late on a Friday night, in the middle of summer). So grateful they were quick to get to us, quick to repair, and SUPER low cost compared to everyone else (especially on a Saturday)!

This was my second experience with Dick's. First one, they tried to replace a furnace that didn't need replacing. This one they tried to replace a circuit board that didn't need replacing. Technician came out and left no evidence of the work he did. No sticker, no checklist, not even an invoice. I had to take time off work for them to come out again.

In his report he cited: "intermittent problem with circuit board" - $753 to fix. I did some homework, the board costs $78 at Gensco. I also got a second opinion and company B found NO issues. I called Dick's out to the residence to provide a full inspection report, and while on second trip out there, he was unable to duplicate the issue. The response I got was: "well.it COULD come up again.maybe in 3 months, maybe in 3 years." But we're going to go ahead and leave it on the report. Turns out that techs get kickbacks for selling parts. No wonder! At those prices I'd want to sell parts too.

Woke up to a cold house. A bit of minor troubleshooting done by the Mr. showed it was most likely a bad ignitor and called Dick's. They said they'd be here between 1 and 5 and I think it was about 1:30 when Jason P. showed up and got to work right away. Polite, respectful of our home and the daysleeper, and was able to fix the problem to our satisfaction.

We appreciated the work ethic shown by Jason P., got the job done to the customer's satisfaction. This type of courtesy goes a long way to building trust and growing your business. Thanks!

Very thorough and straight forward technicians. I have had several other heating companies out in the past and Dicks Heating is on a whole different level. I was given a complete break down of exactly what was going on with my heat pump and given multiple options to correct the issues. All of the prices for the repairs were given up front and were very reasonable and in line with what other good contractors are charging ( I know because I did my research) were Dicks Heating really excelled was the knowledge and professionalism that the technicians had.

I will never use another Heating and cooling contractor after having multiple great experiences with Dicks. I would highly recommend you give them a call if you need anything when it comes to heating, cooling or hot water.

We have been using Dicks for close to 10 years now. they are awesome. My landlord installed a new furnace last year and had it done half ass and backwards. Glen the senior tech came out to service it and made me aware of some serious dangerous installation violations. Needless to say its being fixed properly next week by Glen. thank you for potentially saving my families lives. I don't know if he works out of this office or not.
