Highly recommend this company for their great service and professionalism. Our hot water tank went out, called for an estimate and spoke to Nicole for a quote. It was nice to speak with someone and not have to leave a message for a call back. She was very personable, helpful, answered all my questions and gave me a quote and an time for repair. We ended up choosing them for service and Jeff showed up in the time window they stated. Jeff was an absolute professional. Walked me through the installation, explained the setup, answered questions, taught me the operations and spoke about care and maintenance.

You can tell he was a pro and had pride in his work. He cleaned up after the install and let me know to call if any questions or problems. I had a follow-up call and spoke with Deb this time. Again was impressed with how personable she/their folks are. I felt like a valued customer and not just job. Very impressed with this company and its people. Would highly recommend.

John Palmer was an exceptional technician. He was very clear in his explanations and very patient with my questions, and one of the most professional people I have dealt with. Since I own rentals I deal with many technicians and he was one of the best. If your lucky you might end up with Mr Palmer.

I really wanted this to go well because the tech was nice and seemed knowledgeable but it was terrible communication from the get go, the repair person was never here when expected, to the point I had to call the office 2x for the first visit. For the second time he was coming by with the part to complete the repair, he said at 5pm he was on his way, at 7:30PM still nothing - we called and texted and he finally called back and made clear arrangements to come the next morning.

I have tenants who live in this space so every time there was a timing issue, it was impacting them as well. The repair was completed, we paid $249 for diagnostic $189 for maintenance (not sure what maintenance was done, we just changed the filter two days before he was out and there is no explanation on the invoice) and then proceeded to pay $2000 for a draft inducer motor, which I've researched by our serial number and furnace and I'm pretty sure doesn't cost this much or even near to, even considering labor costs.

When he was recommending a new furnace to us at the diagnostic, the price for new install started at $6500 then miraculously came down to $5200 by the end of the visit - so the pricing is NOT clear or transparent even on the invoicing. Then when the part was installed, there was another issue discovered, so a part was ordered, it took about two weeks and he was slated to come back to install today between 1-4, per the office. Well, again, 1-4 came and went, as my tenants also stayed home waiting to let him in. Texted him, no response, still no call from anyone.

I get that people are busy, I get that things change but the complete lack of respect for our time on THREE different occasions, and care for letting people know what's going on - is not ok. We've hired another HVAC company to come and finish the job. I don't blame the repair person, his job shouldn't be to make and manage appointments.

Nicole offered outstanding customer service in an emergency situation today. She was able to triage a furnace situation that wasn't working and saved me good money the day after Christmas. Thank you again! Paul O'C.

I was panicked when my furnace showed a blinking red light. I called and spoke to Nicole who talked me off of the ledge, explained the importance of yearly maintenance (the equivalent to an oil change for cars) and was able to send a technician out to diagnose and remedy the issue. I highly recommend Washington Natural Gas and will call them ASAP when/if I need to replace my furnace in the future.

Great service. Friendly, proffessional technician. It was kind of an emergency, as the hot water tank went out. They came out the same day, with new tank And everything needed to retrofit the bigger tank and bring everything up to code.

They installed a gas furnace in 2019 just prior to us purchasing the home. When they installed it, they didn't realize there was no air return to the furnace. I had noticed short cycling and reached out to them in spring 2020. They said they'd have to get back to me after reviewing installation notes. They never did, so I contacted them again in summer 2021.

They were a little more responsive the second time around, but said it was now outside of the 2 year warranty. They initially quoted $500 to fix the problem and agreed to do it within a week because of their initial error. They fixed it the next day, which was great, but charged nearly $1,000. At least they fixed the problem quickly the second time around and the furnace is working now, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend them to a friend due to a faulty installation and not honoring the warranty.

An elderly friend from our church had a leaky gas water heater. Local plumber was booked 2 weeks out due to labor shortage. WNG offered to send someone to replace it the same day. He did an excellent job. The only complaint I have is that when I scheduled, I was told I would receive an invoice before the technician arrived. I never received the invoice, and the price the elderly friend paid was nearly twice what we expected. Nevertheless, the installation was excellent, and we are satisfied.

The team at Washington Natural Gas Heating & Air Conditioning is top notch! They were the ONLY company that could respond to my needs IMMEDIATELY and were there the SAME DAY! Mike, Roger, Serjei, and Jeff were very respectful of our home and did an AMAZING JOB! I highly recommend this team for any installation you are looking for! We had a tankless water heater, furnace, and heat pump installed and they completed all of the work in less than a week for a very competitive price! They were also able to work around my crazy schedule and communication was great! Look no further and make the call, you will be more than pleased with the results!

I had Washington Natural Gas install a complete new furnace and A/C unit 10 years ago. It worked nicely until this summer. The A/C was not working. I know a thing or two about air conditioning and correctly diagnosed the problem as a refrigerant leak and as much as said so when I booked the appointment. I had two visits from a technician who informed me that his truck with all his equipment had been stolen.

Two wasted trips! Finally the owner came out and informed me I needed a whole new furnace and A/C system! He then recharged the system without doing any leak testing. Naturally, the refrigerant leaked out again by the next day. I have since had Universal Mechanical come out. They found the leak in the outside condenser coil. I had it replaced by them.

All is good. Fortunately I never got a bill for my service calls from Washington Natural Gas, but I need to let people know I feel this business seems more interested in selling new installations than doing honest, competent repair work.

I have changed the rating of this company's service. After writing the review below, I received a call from Mike with apologies for my experience, a full credit for the service and they will come out to replace the filter. Based on Mike's actions, I will use this company again and will recommend them as well. ***************************************************************** John came out to service my A/C and furnace.

He asked to use my toilet and I pointed him to the guest one. The next morning I found he had not flushed the toilet but took the time to lower the seat and the lid. When I reported this disgusting incident to the scheduler, she said I'd hear back on the issue. I have not. He also didn't replace the filter.

This company is fabulous. When my 15 year old heater shut down, , and I couldn't get it started, they came out the same night, immediately diagnosed the problem and presented me with options and prices for repair. I decided to buy a new model of the same heater for a great price. It was delivered and beautifully installed the very next day. You really can't beat that.

Was thrilled to find Washington Natural Gas available quickly when our furnace went out in November 2020. Our former go-to, Ballard Natural Gas, who'd sold us our furnace several years back, was swamped and couldn't get to us for a month (!) so I was pleased to have a two-hour callback from helpful Desiree, who booked us an appointment in a stellar two days.

Our tech, John Palmer, worked a late night to help us, and he was knowledgeable and showed my husband what needed fixing so we could potentially address it in future (sensor needed cleaning). The company offers very reasonable service /cleaning with no commitment (I had tried a service contract with Ballard but kept forgetting to actually *use* it). Very pleased to have a new "go to" for furnace work (they also do hot water heater and A/C, I hear).

WNG was constantly communicating with us on the condition of our furnace, the choices and cost options of replacement, and the timing and scheduling of their service technicians to be at our home. Afterwards, they contacted us several times to ensure our equipment was working well and if we had any additional needs or concerns. An excellent end-to-end experience!

What an amazing company with stellar service! From the moment I called with a furnace problem, Desiree was in constant contact with me leaving me texts as to when to expect the serviceman. John, my service technician, came the same day and listened to my description of the problem. He then checked over my furnace completely and diagnosed the problem and gave me the cost of the repair.

I was impressed with his knowledge and honesty. I decided to have Washington Natural Gas, Heating and Air Conditioning fix the problem. John returned the next day with the needed parts and gave me an estimate of the time it would take. He completed the repair and left the work area spotless. He explained the process and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company for their amazing follow through and outstanding service. They deserve more than 5 stars!

It was a happy accident that we found Washington Natural Gas this morning! Our water heater went out around midnight last night. When we called one of the big box stores this morning, they mistakenly called WNG and found out that they weren't one of their installers. We couldn't help but notice how helpful and friendly Desiree was and my husband quickly said, call them back! Desiree was able to send me information within minutes, Mike, a technician, was on his way within another half hour or less, and Alex was at our house shortly after with our new water heater ready to install! They were all so helpful, friendly and professional! Thank you all! We're so grateful we accidentally found you!

My gas furnace had a very loud fan rattle, so I called for a service call. The technician called to confirm the model number of my furnace and set up appt for next day. in the meantime, he called back and had a few ideas of how I could possibly fix it myself with him troubleshooting! So I sent him some photos and a couple videos so he could hear the fan and after a few messages back and forth, he figured something was probably sucked into the fan like some paper or plastic.

Come to find out, the sticky paper electrical schematic paper that had been stuck inside had been sucked off the wall of the furnace after many years and was wadded up inside the fan! Fix it! Thanks Mike! Oh, yeah. and this was on a friday evening after hours! No charge!

Recently just had my furnace go out on my family and I during the freezing temperatures. I saw that Mike with Washington Natural Gas was close and in my area, so I decided to reach out to him and boy I was so grateful I did; upon arrival Mike took the time to go over every detail and gave me options as to help me with my budget and upon arrival provided me with space heaters to keep my family and house warm till the next day to get everything ordered since it was later in the day. Mike and his crew came out the next day and did a very professional job installing the new furnace they were efficient, professional and it was a clean install.

Would highly recommend them too anyone. Thanks for everything to Mike and his employees for doing a great job and working through the cold temperatures in the garage while installing much appreciated.

My old furnace went out and they replaced my gas furnace. It is very expensive and after a large down payment the rest is financed 18 months no interest. The customer service was fine. It took 2 full days into the night for the furnace to be finished because of a part. They did finish the 2nd night. That was very good because it is winter. The installers could be more courteous but it was fine. Glad it's done and the heat is working.

!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Read until the end Last year in the middle of winter I'm talking winter! it's snowing. My furnace went out, inside my house is 54 degrees and i have two children. I call around and WNG can come out the next day. When they arrive the tech doesn't seem to know what he's doing He's on the phone the whole time.

It comes down to a part needs to be replaced but unfortunately he doesn't have the part. I'm like what! You wasted all this time and it can't be fixed he then calls around and says he will have to order the part it will take 3 days and cost extra. Why am i paying extra for a part they don't have i said no thank you. I'm very disappointed.

He says let me make one more phone call he then finds the part and will go and come back then replace it. He comes back I'm so excited because it's freezing he then tells me it will be 1200 to replace. Are you serious for the diagnostic the part and labor. I WAS SCAMMED FOR SURE! Needing heat i agreed and the furnace was fixed he said goodbye but when he left he left all the parts Laying around.

Just disappointed with this company. One year later my heat goes out again i call WNG because i paid good money and my house is not even 10yrs old why is my furnace not working again! I told them last year they fixed my furnace and it's not working again i was told hmmmmm doesn't look like i will ever be able to make it to your house to look at the furnace maybe call bobs. i said you're kidding i paid you good money and this is your customer service you can never come out to look at something you worked on. Absolutely no integrity you've been warned

This is the first time I have used Washington Natural gas for furnace service. I got a quote for repairs from a sketchy repair company and I wanted a second opinion. Mike Fahmie came out on a Saturday night and did a very professional job diagnosing the problem. He was honest and up front about the cost and got my furnace running quickly. He could have gauged me like the guy from the other company. It wasn't an inexpensive repair but I received quality service. I recommend Mike and will call on Washington Natural gas when it's time to replace the furnace.

Called them to come out and diagnose furnace issue and lack of heat. Tech Matt came out, but seem very inexperienced and had to make multiple calls to determine what was wrong. Finally determine I needed a circuit panel replaced, which was correct, but then took him another 30 - 40 minutes on the phone to get a price and timing for replacement. Was told the part would cost $950 to replace plus his diagnostic fee which would make it a $1200 total fix.

I challenge him on the part pricing and told him I found pricing at half that price online. I sent him away without getting the fix and did end up pay his $141 diagnostic fee. I got Greenwood Heating to come out and they replaced the same part for $535 - no issues, had the part readily available, in and out within 30 minutes. It was clear that Washington Natural Gas was more interested in driving the most revenue possible than simply fixing my issue.

Be aware if you decided to call these guys. I will say Gab, in the office, was helpful in extending his guarantee to refund me if another company determined a different issue.

I got home last evening and my house was cold, I went to my furnace and realized it wasn't working, I had it do the same thing 5 years ago, when I called furnance sales and service shops 5 years ago, 2 other companies told me my 10-12 year old furnace was garbage equipment and that it was worn out, I got Washington Natural gas to come out and they figured out that it was something simple and repaired it for under $300., I call them first this time and the furnace now being 15-17 years old they looked at it and decided it should be replaced, by an apprentice repairman, after There senior repairman/manager reassessed the situation after his well trained apprentice made the wise decision to question himself, he had not seen this unique situation before he decided to consult his boss who thought he better have a look for himself.

After his look at the equipment he determined that a simple repair and a service was all it needed and again got the job done the same day for a total of under $300 again. My daughter and I are warm and cozy thanks to there honest competent manager Mike Fahmie. Needless to say I gave them 5 stars and a strong recommendation! Thanks Mike

Our 5 year old air conditioner/furnace stopped working. I called and described the situation. I also asked if we should shut it off until they come to check on it. "Mike" said I could turn it off and said "just find the on/off switch on it". There did not appear to be one on the furnace and I asked if he meant the furnace or throwing the breaker at the fuse box to shut it off.

He said "No, on the furnace itself, just shut it off." Again, I told him we could not find an on/off switch on the actual furnace itself. He actually then said (and I quote), "Put your HUSBAND on the phone." I could not believe my ears. After I suffered briefly from a bout of Tourette's syndrome, I handed "the man of the house" the phone. It should also be noted that HE also could not locate an on/off switch on the stupid furnace. Hello, dummy, it's 2014. Perhaps leave your sexist remarks to yourself. RUDE and stupid.

Avoid like the plague! Bought a brand new $9500 furnace and $1200 filter from them two years ago. They installed the filter upside down (SERIOUSLY) and had to come out a year later when we figured it out to remove and re-install the entire furnace. It has rattled a bit ever since. Now the pump that removes water is dead. My heat has been off for five day now waiting for an appointment that they cancelled this morning.

My furnace is off-- totally off until fixed, and they can't come for another 9 days. No chance in hell of ever calling these folks again. I called Evergreen, and knowing that we have the heat off they are sending someone out today. Now that's service! Use them at your own risk.

This is not who you think they are. You really want Puget Sound Energy. These crooks just bought the phone numbers from the old Wa Natural Gas. Actually the owner use to sell real estate and appliances. (or so we were told) They are not the company that installed your gas lines. Just got taken for their $89 fee. Well within their right to charge me for the 3 minute service call to tell my wife and I that the thermostat was not set high enough to engage the furnace but 3 minutes shouldn't be $97.45. You could have made a customer for life but instead we removed all the stickers you plastered everywhere and are warning others not to use your service.

Although it's early in the overall process of being satisfied with my gas furnace purchase, I CAN say that I'm very impressed with the work done so far! Service Manager, Jack Sanders, asked the right questions about windows, registers, square foot area, etc, then sat me down and taught me a quick lesson on furnaces before presenting options.

He convinced me that their brand of furnaces were much more reliable and cheaper to run and maintain; this was verified by personal research. Of the three bids I was given, his was the winner, and is already paying off! Jack got his technicians, Ken and Wes, on the job at 9:30 the very next morning within the time window he had given me! This is very good, as the evening temperatures are starting to go sub-freezing lately. Dar, their duct-cleaning specialist, swooped in with the specialized vaccuum truck to remove all the dust, dog hair, and dead whatever that might have made its way into the ducts.

He was in and out in no time, (at no charge!)showed proof of work via images, and drove his giant vaccuum away, making room for the new install of an American Standard Two Stage Freedom 80 Premium gas furnace. I felt as if I was watching a team of surgeons at work, performing a giant heart transplant! Now, my 1954 ranch house has issues, electrical and structural, and so the process took a bit longer than I had expected, but these guys kept right at it and were determined to make it not just work, but work right, and THAT'S the type of work I want on my house.

They got the job done and did it right. My new furnace is quietly humming along and kicking just the right amount of heat into my home, thanks to the guys at Washington Natural Gas. Not only have they given us back our heat, but they have also given me back my faith in work ethic in America! I would hire them back in an instant (.but hopefully, I won't have to!). I'm hoping to give them the fifth star in a year's time. Also read testimonials by other satisfied customers at address below: http://www.wanaturalgas.com/testimonials

I'm going to echo some of the other complaints by previous reviewers. I had a coupon for $99.00 from the Everett Home Show for a tune up. When the technician arrived, he informed me that I had a certain model of furnaces that often developed cracks in the heat exchange. He said he would need to check to see if I had these cracks, and if I did, he would not be able to do the service.

I was fine with that. Three minutes later, he told me I did have the cracks in the heat exchange and explained it to me. He said he could not do the tune-up and said I would need a new heater rather than trying to replace the issue on my current one. He said the price of this "diagnostic" was $97 plus tax. I said, I had a coupon for $99. He then explained that was for the tune-up, and since he was not able to do the tune-up, it would be the $97 plus tax for his diagnostic.

He also said that I could apply that $99 towards a new furnace with Washington Natural Gas. Gee. how gracious of them. Here is the problem: First of all, it was not told to me at any point in the appointment set up that if something wrong was found with my furnace there would be an ADDITIONAL fee for that diagnostic AND the original service would not be completed. Washington Natural Gas is charging me $99 to tell me there is something wrong with the furnace and to be told in a blanket statement that I need a new furnace.

A three minute service call? I understand that you can't do the service I requested, but to charge me $97 plus tax for three minutes is a rip off. Second of all, it's really nice of them to offer the "discount" off a new furnace from the $99 I would pay for the diagnostic fee, but let's just read between the lines here, that basically says, we'll come out and tell you that you need a new furnace, charge you $97 plus tax to take three minutes and then gosh, we're so gracious and will offer you a discount. It's a 15 year old furnace. Surely, fixing a few parts is going to be much cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

I told the technician this was "Bullshit, " and it is. The next day, I had a technician come out from a local company that has a stellar reputation. The technician took my furnace apart down to the heat exchange (something the technician with Washington Natural Gas did not do), and showed me there was NOTHING wrong with the heat exchange. NOTHING WRONG. I could have bought and replaced a furnace when there was NOTHING wrong with my original one. Do yourself a favor, and find someone else to service your furnace.
