Fred's Heating and Air was awesome! It was the first day of a projected week long heatwave and our AC stopped working. They were very responsive and were able to get someone out in just a few hours. Ryan was great and he answered all of my questions. He figured out the issue and fixed it on the spot! Super happy and will definitely use Fred's again.

During the record high heat on June 13, 2022, our a/c went out. The Fred's servicer on call came to our house at 9 pm and fixed our unit and we were up and running by 10 pm. Service tap was very professional and started in one area and was able to walk us through our entire house to show areas that we can improve on efficiencies and why RAC was not working. He took the time to explain versus just try to run off to his next appointment I would recommend these individuals for the company to anyone. And would also do a commentary response if needed for advertising

Paid $571 up front for 3 years a/c system and heating maintenance. I phoned them today May 13th, and asked when they will be coming around to service the a/c as the temperatures have been in the 90's. They told me that they won't be scheduling maintenance until after June 20th. It turns out that Freds will gladly take your money off of you, but they cannot be bothered to pick up the phone to schedule the maintenance that you have paid for and consequently you are placed on the back burner. I've been using Freds for 16 years now and this is how they treat you.

Fred's Heating and Air is a top notch company with very knowledgeable and qualified service technicians and sales employees. After being told by a competitor company I needed to repair two parts in my furnace or replace the furnace due to its age, I called three companies to come for estimates for replacements. Fred's Heating and Air sent Melissa, a very knowledgeable sales rep, who explained how the different parts of the furnace work & the most important features of purchasing a new one. Fortunately, their company offers a free second opinion from a service technician if you have a quote for repairs from another company. Dan was the best service technician I have had at my home over the years.

He demonstrated, explained and educated me on the normal range of meter readings all the while checking the components of my furnace. He determined I did not need to replace the parts the first company told me that I needed to replace. He told me my furnace was at a gold star level for the age of it. I will be definitely switching my maintenance plan to Fred's Heating and Air as well as keeping them on board when the time comes for a replacement. Top quality company! Highly recommend them for sales and service!

My wife and I have used Fred's Heating for many years and have never been disappointed. Service is dependable and costs fair. There has even been some times the tech went beyond the standard list of tasks and did them simply because it was the right thing to do. Fred personally assessed our heating/air needs and had his technicians out the next week to replace both of our almost 20 year old units. The technicians were on time, friendly, experts who efficiently installed two new AC's and two new furnaces in just two working days along with new thermostats. We are so happy with how Fred's team paid such attention to detail and that we are now running much more energy efficient! Thank you Fred and team!

Fred's has consistently provided excellent maintenance service for my Trane equipment. The service techs are thorough. In the four years there have only been minor repairs compared to other companies that wanted to "sell" repairs. I fully recommend Fred's if you want long-term solid maintenance. The service tech today was Jose and Fred's should be bery proud to have him as an employee as he was very professional and competent. Thank You!

So far we are very pleased with Fred's Heating and Air. They showed up on time, did a good job with the installation and even found a gas leak in my furnace that they fixed without additional cost (I forgot to tell them that we smelled gas ever so often and they found that leak on their own). I also really like their policy of not taking any payment up front.

Payment is due one month after installation making sure the new system is working perfectly. No pressure (they did not tell us ten times that we had a massive freon leak in our old system like the "T" company did) and they put a better rated system in for $2,000 less. I would recommend Fred's Heating and Air to anyone. Good folks!

Looked at the vent that was having an issue. Confirmed that it was not blowing air. Told me that he couldn't do anything else unless I rip out my ceiling. Collected the "diagnostic fee". Did not tell me anything I already didn't know.

Just had Rusty from Fred’s out to do a second opinion on my furnace after another very prominent HVAC company told me last week the heat exchanger was breached and I needed a expensive repair - which they made it clear they didn’t think was the best option - or a whole new system, including AC. This morning Rusty checked it out, proving the furnace is fine by both visual inspection and using a highly sensitive carbon monoxide sensor, and said there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the furnace.

The other company apparently forces their repair staff to indicate a new furnace is warranted on anything over 7 years old (mine is 13) or they get fired. Long story short, Fred’s now has a new customer for life!

Was absolutely miserable in my hot house until Miguel came out to help! He was kind, professional, and showed me how to do stuff instead of just fixing it and vanishing, so I can maintain it better without calling again. Extremely great service for a reasonable price! Also they came out within a couple days which is shocking as it's like 95 out right now.

Fred’s Heating and Air has very knowledgeable personnel. We had a problem with our thermostat and called Fred’s Heating and Air. They sent one of their technicians, Miguel to our home and he answered all of my questions and showed me all the things the technical thermostat could do. I highly recommend Fred’s Heating and Air for excellent service.

We called for a tune up on the furnace as I felt it was working a little hard. They were extremely pleasant and came the same day. He cleaned and checked everything out, talked to us about the filter and not to use tap water in the humidifier (took out the filter and showed us why he could tell we did recently with the floride build up) He cleaned a sensor too which was causing the furnace to work hard.

Everything is working great, and we appreciated how friendly and caring they were about showing us how to keep things running smoothly. Downside? Since we are just across the boarder of Omaha into Gretna, they advised there was an additional fee to come. Not a big fan of that because I dont expect there to be an extra fee for a "gretna" visit off 168th street.

We live out of the city and our driveway is steep and long and when they came it was very icy they had to walk up many times to get the job done. The furnace is working great. Thank you Fred's.

We signed up to be part of the Comfort Club for regular inspections. Yesterday evening we noticed that our air was not cooling. We tried a few things on our own and when the temperature was still going up we called the emergency line. It was after 10:30pm on a Saturday night so we left a message. It was a hot day (in the 90's) but we were fortunate enough to be able to get through the night in semi-comfort with fans.

The next morning an employee returned our call before 8am and when I didn't hear the phone (it was on silent) he sent a text. When there was still no reply he went the extra step of looking up our account (I only gave my name and number, no address, on the recording) to see if we had additional contact information. He got hold of my husband (who is an early riser) and he came out right away. Miguel was GREAT!

He fixed our bad compressor and had our air up and running before 9a. We are so glad we decided to keep our services with Fred's. The air going out in late July could have been MUCH worse that it was. Thanks for the excellent service!

Brady came today at my friends house and got the job done. He was very cheerful, polite and informative about what was going on with her air conditioner. She is almost 90 years old and can’t tolerate the heat and Fred’s made a extreme effort to get it fixed the same day we called! Thanks Fred’s !!!!

Waking up to a cold house with no heat is not the best way to start your day. But from the moment I called Fred's Heating and Air I knew I was in good hands. Our technician Nate, was great! He was polite, professional and just an all around wonderful guy. He explained the problem, and had us up and running within 2 hours. We truly cant say thank you enough. We had to replace our air conditioning and heating system in our home. We asked for bids from several businesses. We were not looking for the cheapest but the right system for our home. Fred's seemed to be the most interested in what we needed, were knowledgeable and friendly. We were very happy with both the service and support. They were very customer service focused and would recommend them to others. In my opinion they are as good or better than others in the Omaha area.

Scheduled an appointment and was quoted a time. Tech called about 30 minutes beforehand and showed up on time. During the call (I wasn't home) I told the tech what I knew, he told me what he was going to do. My wife was home at the time and let him in. She said he was friendly, yet professional. Prompt yet took the time to explain everything to her.

About 30 minutes later, I got an email from the tech explaining what he found, what the charges were, and a copy of the invoice. Luck willing, we are going to hold out a few months and then go back to them for a replacement system. Very happy with the service.

Our air conditioner quit working. Fred's came out and cleaned/inspected the unit. It was found to have a leak that they "couldn't locate" and they added refrigerant. He left stating it was working. The temperature cooled off that day and we didn't run the air for a week. We went to turn the air on and it wasn't working. They were called, two techs came out and all of the refrigerant added 5 days before was gone because they didn't fix the leak in the first place. Additionally, they "thought" the compressor was bad.

My husband questioned how this happened in 5 days and asked that their supervisor call him. Their answer was, "we will have him call, but we don't know when because he is very busy." Awesome customer service huh? Additionally, he never called. We contacted a different company that came and told us that there was a leak and it needed a new compressor as well as a condenser coil. So, I emailed the owner asking for a refund for the money we spent to not have our problem fixed right the first time.

His response was more than disappointing from a business owner, as it was not customer focused! He told me that a quote to fix the compressor was emailed to us twice and eluded to the fact that he did us a favor because he didn't charge us for the second call. Likely because he knew they were wrong the first time. I would NEVER recommend this company!

When my furnace fan stopped working, I called Fred's because I wanted a repair technician, not a salesman in disguise. With 2 brothers previously in the HVAC business, I knew a bit about systems, just didn't have the tools or expertise. I got same day service, Andy was extremely helpful with information, and we had a great no B.S. discussion about my system, what it needed, and how much it was going to cost.

He even diagnosed my malfunctioning humidifier, and showed me how to replace the transformer myself. Additionally, when we found a very slight separation in the heat exchanger, he advised that it wasn't dangerous (where other techs disguised as salespeople would have recommended a new system most likely), and that his boss could give me a quote while he ran to get the new fan I needed.

I not only got the quote, but the exchanger was under a 20 yr warranty even though I was the second owner of the house. I'll only pay labor/install come fall when I get the new exchanger installed, and they'll keep the quote in the system for me. What a relief. Andy replaced the fan motor and buttoned everything up, done in less than 2 hrs. Don't call the big nationwide companies, call Fred's. I'm glad I did!

We purchased a whole home humidifier before winter started because we have wood floors. We chose Fred's because the price was reasonable. But it has not ever worked correctly. I have it cranked as high as the setting will allow for humidity but we have yet to have over 34% humidity. We have static electricity too. So I call and set up a service call.

The day of the scheduled service it is cold and a little snowy out. I get a call canceling the call and had to wait another week. So the guy finally makes it, spends less than 5 minutes looking at it and pronounces it in perfect working condition. I ask why we aren't getting humidity and he says "I don't know what to tell you. The service charge is $95.00 how do you want to pay?" Huh? Are you serious? $95 for what? "Because nothing was wrong we have to charge you the service call fee, someone should have told you." Well they didn't. "I don't know what to tell you buddy." So I paid.

Then says, "I notice you have your heat set at 68 degrees, is that normal?" Yes that is about as high as we ever set it. "Well if you set it higher you will get more humidity, like if you set it at 74 it will run more and then blow more humidity into the house." Don't you think so MN eine should have told me I would have to keep my house at sauna temperatures to get it to work? "I don't know what to tell you, buddy." So then I call the office to complain but of course the service manager wasn't there.

But she would have him call me. It's been over a month and I'm still waiting for that call. I won't recommend this company to my worst enemy yet alone anyone I like. Their customer service is non existent. Do not ever use them.

Unfortunately our furnace and air conditioning units bit the dust. Fortunately for us our friend and neighbor Dan is part of Fred's team and suggested another member of the team, Melissa come and take a look at the furnace since we knew we needed a new one. Melissa was so great! She was professional, courteous and definitely knew what she was talking about.

A team of great guys came and installed the furnace and air conditioner units. As appears true to form for Fred's they were courteous, friendly and professional and got everything done in one day! The whole team was wonderful to work with and we will definitely continue with Fred's for all of our heating and air needs! We have been so pleased with our new high efficiency furnace so far. We have seen a real difference just in the comfort of the temperature of the house. Thank you Fred's!

Fred's is always reliable and trustworthy. Nate called ahead of time and showed up on time. He was very courteous and fixed the loud noise coming from my AC in less than 30 minutes (which was awesome because I forgot I had an appointment to run to by then)! Always great service.every time.

We inherited Fred's, so to speak, when we purchased our home in 2009. They'd installed a nice large Trane unit with the previous owner. We've always been very pleased, and today is no different. While we enjoyed a beautiful cool front the last couple days, yesterday it started warming up again and we were shocked to find warm air coming out of our vents when we turned the AC on as it was heating up outside! Luckily, it did not get very hot so we suffered thru most of the night until the temps outside cooled off sometime after midnight. Sean arrived around 915am this morning and proceeded to access the situation.

I couldn't stick around as long as he needed to fix the entire issue, but I knew from the moment I met him I could trust to leave him in our home so I could get back to work. Went home at lunch to check on the pup and cat, and the house is gloriously cool again. Thanks so much to Sean and the team at Fred's, we truly appreciate all of you!

Melissa Besch was great. She was very pleasant and helped to get my NEW AC as quickly as possible for the best price anywhere in the metro. The tech was nice and asked if I had any questions. He explained how it all worked, cleaned up after himself and worked very quickly.
