A/C Installation
Report
Air Conditioner installations in Chicago can be a tricky thing. For an air conditioning system to work properly in a house there has to be a couple of thing that line up correctly in order for everything to work correctly. A problem with most homes in Chicago is that the air conditioning system that is installed is not sized according to the home and ductwork.

I've been calling on Brett for four years, usually to fix my furnace in an emergency (like last week's cold). He comes out within a day, and we're all warm and comfortable again. His rates are reasonable, and his work is guaranteed, so it's great. He teaches me, too, which I always appreciate.

We've had Brett - Gremillion's owner - out to our walk-up apartment twice, once to fix our furnace, the second time (today) to fix our AC. Both times, he was able to come on short notice, was pleasant, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, and fixed the problem quickly and at reasonable expense. He's responsive (via text or phone), which is one of the nicest things about Brett - when you have an HVAC problem, you don't want to sit around for hours and wonder if someone is going to get back to you, or if you should try someone else. Don't try someone else - just call Gremillion.

I went on Yelp to find someone for AC repair. Brett with Gremillion Mechanical came quickly (the next day), was on time, fixed the problem with an affordable price. Very professional and easy to work with. Will use him in the future if necessary.

Brett came highly recommended to me by a friend. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and fair. He always looks for the less expensive, most effective option first. I had a furnace that was too big for my house, he tried to nurse it back to health after it kept short cycling to get me through the 2015 winter, when the furnace was no longer serviceable Brett replaced it at a fair price.

Now that I have a fully functioning furnace we now discovered that my duct work is too small for the (poorly rehabbed) house. Brett suggested that I connect the gas line in the fire place for supplemental heat before undergoing expensive duct work reconfiguration. Brett will also try to troubleshoot over the phone before coming out. He talked me through a simple fix that others have charged 200+ to fix. In short, Brett is my HVAC "guy."
