I recently noticed my electric bill started creeping up starting June 2021, first 200, 300, 400 kw's to finally Jan2022 1500 kw's over the previous year usage. I called CPL to check my meter which they said was operating correctly. CPL said that much overage almost had to be an AC problem. On 4/27 I called for Jorge at Hess Air. He has worked with me since I bought my house in 2015.

He supervised the moving of AC lines when I removed a wall. He has always taken extra steps and time to explain my system and what needed repair. My system checked out so then he moved outside to check the amps of each breaker. When he got to the garage he said this is the problem area and recommended turning off the window unit. I expectantly waited for a month to get my new electric bill. April usage was 2306 kw, I turned of window unit 4/27.

May usage was 1345, almost half of the previous month. Then Jorge gave me some maintenance tips for the window unit to possible reduce its electric usage if I turn it back on. I couldn't be happier and more satisfied with Jorge and Hess Air.

I think you need to shop around. Prices are rather steep for cleaning a system. No doubt they'll find more things wrong with your unit. Change your filters often and take a peek under to look at your coils to see if cleaning is needed. Hose off the dirt on the outside fan and just those little things will save you money both on repairs and electricity.

Everything was great until it came time to pay. After he finished, the tech raised his estimate by $19 with no explanation. I had asked him about the price and was assured that that was going to be the price with no additional charges. I did not receive an itemized bill or receipt. The service was great but I don't appreciate price change.

Beware, I have used them several times (No More) shame on me. Now when same problem they tell be they only warranty their work for 6 months to a year. Other time they drilled a hole through my home leaving a 4 foot PC pipe sticking out of my home. Their Quote to replace unite is $1,600 higher than other on same unit. Make sure you use others that will warranty their services much longer than Hess.

$184 dollars to fix an a/c unit blowing warm air. Their "fix" didn't work. No receipt was given. When I called the office, they said receipts must be requested. So I guess Hess doesn't normally give receipts? Cytech came out a few days later. Fixed the problem. They gave me a receipt without asking.

David did a wonderful job and was very helpful and knowledgeable. My family and I were going through a deep loss and Hess was quick and David went the extra mile to help us with our AC problem. Had them come out and found I had leak, they repaired it, I paid them and 4 hours later called back that it was not working. They came back and told me if I continued to have problems I would need to replace my system with one of theirs. My issue is my unit is 2 years old. I finally called some where else and replaced part under warranty

Used several private contractors for service and buying AC units but now only these guys. A little more maybe 5-10% but worth it. Quality service and products. Encourage the device program. I used to avoid but well worth it. Free service calls and discounts on maintenance and products. They also put you ahead of non program calls so handy when AC not working. Take all credit cards so bonus.

Im sure they are capable. Theyre a rather large localcompany. However, i work at a govt. Agency. We called them in for an estimate to replace a compressor unit. The tech pulled out a slick 3-ring b.s. binder with the price ranges already prepared. This gives me the impression that the tech may get a commission to "sell". The price seemed way high.

We ended up going with another well established co. And it was. At least $1000 less for the same brand. I guess they have to pay for the pink trucks. I dont like these business models that some implement to make max profit.
