Mac Air Conditioning & Heating, LLC Mike McFarlin started in the field with his father, Mabry, back in the 1960's fixing air conditioner window units. Delhi-born, he moved with his family to Ouachita Parish where he graduated from Ouachita High in 1970. Mike inherited the family business when his father retired and immediately made it his focus to stay abreast of the latest technology in the field, maintaining a high level of training and expertise over the following years. It paid off and the business thrived.

That success allowed him to support a large family. He and his wife, Teenie, have five children and ten grandchildren. And when his son, Anthony, turned 12 he got a new partner. Anthony McFarlin showed an aptitude for the family business at a young age. He was the youngest student, to date, receiving acceptance into the VoTech HVAC program. He was 16. In spite of going to VoTech school only half the day, and going to high school the other half, he still managed to complete the 2-year course in the normal 2 years!

So let me start with this: Anthony is nothing less than 110% professional! I am beyond pleased and so thankful I ever called him. We live in a 2013 Deer Valley manufactured home. This is a upper level manufactured home. We have had nothing but issues with the original ac since day one. It’s had leaks. The ACoil was replaced at about 8 months in. We’ve had 3 different other companies out during this time.

I was never satisfied. At the first of each season I’ve had to make sure I turned it on the first time during the day when I was going to be home while it cycled through several times before I’d leave it on while we slept or left the house. Last June I called Anthony and he came out. We were low of Freon again and a capacitor had blown again. He got us up and going.

Well last Friday night it was turned on. The house never cooled and the outside unit sounded strange. I checked it and sure enough it was frozen solid outside and inside. Half the Acoil on one side wasn’t frozen so it appeared to me that it had a blockage again and possible leaking Freon again. Because of how frustrating this has been on a home no older than this we chose to just invest the money and replace the outside unit and ACoil.

Now I’ll have a warranty....that I shouldn’t need. Lol. This new unit is so so quiet compared to our old one!! The new ACoil is like 50% larger! The air flow out the vents is just unreal compared to the old unit. I guess the small ACoil caused a air flow restriction. The house is so cool and seems to be a completely different atmosphere than before. If you have ac problems Anthony is the guy that you need to call! Don’t waste your time calling anyone else like I’ve done in the past.
