The owner Lance and his crew helped us get a mini split AC/heat system on two houses in Paradise and couldn't be happier with the work. They are busy so don't wait if you're wanting them to help with your home or project but quality and price can't be beat. Thanks Lance and Dale!

Way overpriced, have used seasonal for a few years but the price has doubled. Have 3 mini splits and all they did was wash the filters and measure the temperatures; we only use 1 most all year so the other were already clean and they charged us $300, Crazy I can wash off 3 filters. What a rip off!

I scheduled seasonal maintenance on my air conditioning and was pleased with the service. However, I would've appreciated they wear booties and a mask indoors. I have children that cannot be vaccinated from COVID and was expecting at least some booties to jot track in my carpeted hallway.

Chad from McClelland was just here to address my AC concerns. He listened carefully to what I had to say, asked clarifying questions, and then conducted an investigation using his fancy AC tools to determine what was actually wrong. He clearly communicated to me what his findings and recommendations were and what my options were, and then performed the service diligently. His repair solved my problem, which is very satisfying. He was professional, friendly, courteous, and careful. Excellent job.

I called McClelland because my 2 year old Daikin had a blinking light on our first time we used air for 2021. He showed up on time, checked the unit and blinking light had stopped. Went outside and no problems. On inside he mention filter was a little dirty and kindly said how to check faults if starting blinking again. My issue is this. There is a set fee to come out and determine what is wrong with the unit.

Then after diagnosing unit a invoice is written up for parts and labor to fix it or make a phone call letting client know he can fix it without parts now for a certain amount of money. As sometimes things happen when he showed up there were no faults showing - no blinking lights so nothing to diagnosis. There was no impending invoice for parts and labor because unit was working when he arrived.

On this posting there are 16 services you can check to show which service your not happy with. There is no box to check that says "Did not do work but charged." I was charged twice as much as the initial charge to diagnosis unit when nothing was done because unit was working. What is it called when you get charged more than the initial fee when no work is done! Very disappointed

Been a service plan member for going on 12 years and lately something isnt right. Ive seem to have "capacitors" go out every other year. Yeah they did go bad but they don't stand behind there product and will up sell every chance they get. Told sorry product are only from china then called another company and they said um no we have USA capacitors. So instead of trying to keep me it was sorry cant help we have bad products if you dont like it sorry. so yea ive moved on!

A/C unit needed a service call to check the overflow. Charlie in the office was so pleasant and helpful in getting us a service technician around our vacation home schedule at Lake Almanor. Chris arrived on time on our scheduled date. He was very professional and knowledgeable. It seems that every interaction we've had with this company and its employees to date has been very positive. So refreshing these days! Definitely recommend them!

Called June 2019 for service to mini-split and HVAC. Received a call from the receptionist saying "We are not accepting new clients." Maybe they could post this information on their website and save us time.

I started with McClelland around 2002, when I decided to convert a somewhat primitive mountain cabin in Cohasset to a liveable space with heating and air conditioning. After scouting around a bit, I settled on the on-time and personable folks at McClelland and wisely--I have moved four or five times since that time, and each time have been provided with excellent technicians, mainly the honest, direct and careful skills of technician Brian, who always shows up in the time slot allotted (usually the office calls to let you know an approximate--within one or two hours--arrival) and works his magic--twice a year. Brian has pointed out the peculiarities of some systems, and usually it's just some needed maintenance that has been ignored for years by previous owners.

And there are two gems in the office, as well--Kelsey and Charlie, who are unfailingly cheerful, good-humored, and put up with whatever grumbling this customer might have. After homes in Cohasset, Chico, Paradise and Corning, I now live in Red Bluff--and again count on the expertise of McClelland! You may not get the cheapest price, but you can count on having your work and annual inspections done correctly at a reasonable fee--any wise soul knows that cheaper is not necessarily better.

I have used McClelland Heat and Air for years. Had everything done from servicing of my home units to complete replacement. The staff is very professional and trustworthy. They are always on time and communication is top notch. I wouldn't consider any other company when it comes to my heating or air conditioning needs. First class operation!

Property management company called them to come and repair my AC. The technician said that the wires powering our outside unit were chewed up by an animal and needed to be repaired. He said that he needed to get authorization and went outside to make a call. Came back in, went outside and said he replaced the cords. My husband comes home and goes outside and looks.

The technician did not replace the cord left it completely chewed up no power to the unit and AC still not working. Property management company was charged for a repair that didn't get done and now will not authorize another repair. My family is left without AC in 92 degree weather in the summer. Scam of a company and technicians that are in a hurry to leave without getting the actual work done.

McClellan provided premium service. They arrived when scheduled. They cleaned up wherever they did work. I had to have a new outtake installed with wall cutting inside the house. When they left it was cleaner than when they arrived. Their pricing was fair without any surprises at the end. Casey, the salesman, was informative and took great pride in seeing that the job was well done. Kudos to McClellan.

I contacted McClelland under their service agreement when one of my heater units went out at my home during the holiday. The system is 23-years old and their service tech went up into my attic and discovered the problem with a broken gas manifold and it wasn't safe. I then set up a meeting with Scott Eitel and requested a bid to replace the entire heating and air systems due to it's age.

He came out, completed an analysis and prepared a fair proposal. Their installation team of George, Nick and Eddie completed the installation of both systems in a very timely and professional manner. They were on time everyday, explained what they would be doing and cleaned up before they left each day. After they completed the work a third party inspector from Sacramento came up to test the tightness of the duct system and it passed with flying colors. Scott then came back, walked through the entire system with me and let me know the County would be back to complete the permit inspection. I would highly recommend this company for their semi-annual service program and now for their installation of a new system.

Our heater suddenly stopped working on Christmas weekend! BRRR! The McClelland tech on call was out in 2 hours time and fixed it. And there wasn't a big charge because it was a Saturday. Such great service. Thank you!

Called them Sunday morning to fix our broken air conditioning unit during a HOT spell. Alex came over immediately after explaining the charges. Charges were reasonable and it was a $15 part that needed to be replaced. Finished quickly and we had cool air. Would call them again.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MCCLELLAND. They LIED to me, who's to say they will not lie to you? Story Time: Called to get a part for an AC unit. (Capacitor) I was quoted a price of $78.00. Unfortunately the part was not in stock, but it was available at the local parts house. McClelland arranged for me to pickup the part at the distributor. I then ASKED if I could buy direct and they said NO.

I picked up the part and asked if I could buy a spare, expecting no. They gladly sold me a spare, for $19.75. $58 for looking up a part and calling the parts distributor, poor form. An more importantly you LIED when I asked a direct question.

McClelland was wonderful. The office kept me informed as I waited for the mechanic on a 104 degree summer day. The mechanic Cody was professional, experienced, and helpful. He solved the problem within minutes. We have air again. Thanks Cody!

The review from Abby is not valid. For one thing her landlord already let out the work to someone else. Abby doesn't own the property and is upset that she wasn't treated like she was. I've been dealing with McClellend for 16 years. They installed the units in my then new home. All of my neighbors who bought different brands (from Trane) have repair guys here constantly.

Mine just works. I even called the owner and asked if I should upgrade to improved efficiency. He told me that was an inefficient use of my money. Now that was an opportunity for him to make a buck on me and he chose to give me good advice. We are very pleased with this company and all of the personnel we have met.

I've used them for over 10 years for biannual maintenance of heating and air conditioning units, and just recently needed urgent heater repair for unit not working. Scheduled me the next day. Employees are always neat, clean, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and professional. Doesn't get any better than this. An ounce of prevention will do the trick--and you get 20% off any other service as a regular customer.

When our ancient A/C unit finally bit the dust, we knew that we were going to have to take our time looking into various options before making such a big financial investment. We had received an estimate from one other company that didn't seem to listen to what our needs were, and they tried to convince us we needed an entire overhaul (which would cost about $11,000), including a new furnace even though the one we already have is practically brand new!

So I asked some good friends that have lived in Chico a lot longer than I have for their recommendation, and without hesitation they went out of their way to get me in touch with Lance at McClelland! We were initially going to get quotes from at least 3 different companies, but after the first home visit by Lance and Mike, we knew who we were going to choose.

They listened to our needs and concerns, and were very straight-forward and honest about everything. I felt so comfortable with them here, they were very easy to talk to and deal with. They were NEVER salesy, which is huge to me because I hate those sales "tactics" some companies use. Another big advantage with McClelland was that they were able to replace our A/C within a week, whereas the other company said it would be at least 2 weeks.

The men who came out to do the labor were nice, respectful, and quick. Tried their best to clean up the dust after themselves, and were really sweet to our puppy also :) An added bonus is that they include one free year of their cleaning/maintenance program, and they brought over a few air filters to keep us running smooth for several months! We are so excited to have a new A/C that works WAY better than our other one did, and are so so glad to have been referred to this honest company. Now we know who to send our friends to if they have any problems with their heat or A/C!

I have been using McClelland Air Conditioning since 1992, and have found them to be prompt and trustworthy. They have kept my HVAC unit running for over 20 years. I recommend their Service Savings Plan to keep your unit running as long as possible. When my old unit finally gives up the ghost, I'll definitely have a new one installed by McClelland Air. I like the Trane brand they specialize in, and I trust them.

I had a guy come out to give me a quote on a new unit that my landlord agreed to pay and have installed in my business for me. When he arrived he was friendly, went on the roof to check out the old unit and see how many tons I would need. He came to me extremely worried with pictures of another tenant in my buildings air conditioning unit and said there was unfinished business up there (another company was doing work on another unit) and he would have to email me a quote.

I got an email 4 days later saying they were "to busy" and going to have to pass. Really?! Just because someone else was doing work on another tenants unit they could help me out. Well your loss of $$. Good luck doing business like that.

We have attempted to work with several air conditioning companies in this area. We have always had great results at a fair price from McClelland. We recently consulted with them on how to make our home more comfortable and they made a recommendation, well justified, to increase the size of our AC system and replace and reconfigure our old ducting.

This is a sizable investment, but now that all the work is complete, we could not be more pleased. The McClellan team "under promises and over delivers" as my wife likes to say. They were prompt, professional, clean, friendly and they finished a full day early. Bottom line is they, as far as we are concerned, they are the only air conditioning company in town we would recommend.
