The office staff was rather difficult to deal with. I had called yesterday to requested to talk with the sales person prior to them coming out to my home and also asked that they text me because my phone has a heavy spam blocker. I never heard from anyone. So I called again today to be told that my appointment had been canceled which was bizarre since I had not set one up.

So the office scheduled appointment for today. The gentleman texted he was on his way. And showed up on time. He was very professional. Suggested that I should consider an air purification system that would clean up any particles like dander, mold, dust and that would be easy to attach to the AC unit. It would run 25/7 and last for a long time. I thought that was a great suggestion so I am thinking about it.

Wow for a company in business for so long they are a JOKE. Made a call they sent a guy out Steve. What a nice guy. I call 3 days later to check on my estimate. The lady that took call made me wait then came back and said their manager will call with the estimate. 2 days later Scott pitches up at store to see the unit that needs changing. I explained all I want is a maintenance service because the unit works fine. Very confused Scott calls his office. 3 days later I call for the estimate. Nobody can give you a answer. Wow this is what service is in Our Great Land.

Our tech was very efficient and personable during our AC unit annual servicing. He called ahead and was actually able to show up early due to a cancelled appointment which worked out wonderfully. Great company to use!

My initial appointment for service with McGowan did not go well, it was a no call no show. I called the following day spoke with CSR, she was professional in dealing with the problem. She scheduled for another service visit and offered a free cleaning service for my unit valued at $70. On the day of my service the Technician called 30 mins ahead of time, and promptly showed up on time.

He was professional, knowledgeable and polite. He took care both of my units, and offered advice to care for these units. I paid a little more today for service, but they worked with me in offering 25% discount because of my gold membership with them. So far so good with delivery of goods and services as promised. I will continue to review.

Pricing should be better explained. When I made my appointment I was under the assumption that my bill would be $99. I asked if that's what it would be with instillation. I was told yes. I was charged more. My house is just over 2 years old. McGowan installed my HVHC when it was built. This is the second capacitor being replaced!

My AC unit kept cycling. I saw that FPL had a stress free program. I contacted FPL and later McGowan's called, made an appointment to send out a tech and got me started. Later in the day, I was contacted that my unit was ordered and an installer would be out on Wednesday to install. They came out around 2 and within 2 1/2 hours, my unit was installed. Firsthand experience, I would prefer McGowan's Heating and AC. The installers were friendly, knew their job and was professionally. I'm glad they were chosen as the company to install. Thank you McGowan's for a job well done.

Anton was your representative that made the call. He was very professional and took the time to explain the operation of the equipment. McGowans's Heating and Air Conditioning Service was spot on in terms of keep my service appointment and follow on contact. Once the Technician arrived he was friendly and knowledgeable. I bought there 10 year warranty on my unit. I didn't want to have to deal without having AC in Florida. Repairmen are always nice prompt and courteous. Services: Cleaning, AC repair

So far I have had good experiences with this company. They've been out 3 times for 6 month service check ups with no problems. Service: HVAC maintenance

Luis was amazing. Came out on new years eve after he worked a full day drove 45inutes. And went to work. Did alot of checking and found out our ac was over charged. He deserves a raise.

Paid for an upgraded AC unit on new townhome. McGowan installed the standard unit. After much hassle with the builder got correct units installed. Later discovered that thermostat did not recognize ungraded features including two stage compressor. Only one stage was wired. Etc. feel like I had to become an HVAC expert to explain to McGowan how and what to install.

Bait and Switch Company! Stay away. On 11/11/2021 I called this company for a repair I needed. Details were given about my unit. Tech came out the same day for diagnosis(blower motor). Asked age of unit (7+ years). Gave me a price and asked for payment in full and i paid. Said would take a few days to a week to get the part in. 8 days pass and I call.

Part isn't in and tech would call me back. No call from tech. I call another 5 days later and told the tech would call and part isn't in. No call from tech. Called again 12/6/21 and told part isn't in. Finally on 12/7/21 I was informed that they needed an additional $1600+ and I cancelled the job because 26 days in unacceptable to finally get a response and bait and switch tactic that was used.

Now the fun part began in trying to get my money back. They agreed to refund my money on 12/7/21 and said 5-7 business days for refund. No problem on the wait. 10 business days later and still no refund! Had to call them again on 12/21/21 and now I have to wait 3-5 more business days for my money back. What will happen next week I don't know yet as the saga is still unfolding. Stay away!

They did a good job for the first few years of the service. When the technician came out this time all he wanted to do was sell me parts that were not needed. He never even cleaned the unit which was what he was scheduled to do. Service: AC maintenance

Will came and installed a thermostat we bought and I absolutely enjoyed the service he and McGowan provided! Will was super kind, helpful, fun to talk to, and knowledgeable about the thermostat and showed me how to work it. Victor did an amazing job with our HVAC installation. Everything is beautiful and working wonderfully. We did have to call the company out one more time and they came the same day and provided excellent service. The county inspectors also said this was one of most beautiful installs they've seen. Beauty is one thing but quality is another and so far this company does not disappoint in either of those. Sean Northrup was also very helpful in our search for a new HVAC system. Dwayne came to my house today to do an air flow check of the system. He was extremely professional and gave great service and recommendations.

My house is 3 years old and my Builder failed to initially register my system as they had told us they did. McGowan's has been pretty patient with my inconsistent work schedule, at times a bit pushy to get to come service my system. HOWEVER, today JOHNATHAN SIMON came out, did his job very professionally, used all of his PPE around my family, and made very helpful recommendations, which I plan on following up on. Previous visits aside, my views a
have improved on this company. He was attentive, informative, and responsive to all of my questions. Thank You good sir.

I have recently had a horrible experience with McGowan’s. My family recently bought this home and the previous owner paid for a 2x year preventive maintenance service. (Our AC was working perfectly fine when the technician arrived might I mention) The Technician that was sent to to a preventative maintenance on our unit told us what we either had to fix an $900 issue or we were going to have to pay them to install a new unit.

After the technician left, our AC unit immediately froze up and completely stopped blowing cold air. However, we have a home warranty that we decided to use because it was going to be cheaper for us. When we called the second company, upon inspection, they informed us that the blower motor of our unit had been unplugged. When we tried to call McGowan’s to inform them that the technician they used might be misinforming customer in order to get more sales the manager told us that the company we hired was full of criminals and he would have to send a master technician to check the work of the criminals we hired.

We immediately hung up the phone because of the unprofessional mindset of this company. Originally I thought it was simply one of the technician who was trying to scam us, however after speaking with the manager I can see it is not only the technician. Please choose wisely when using this company and always get a second opinion. Our second opinion saved us over $800.

We had our whole house system serviced today by Johnathan and received top notch service and attention to details! We’re very happy McGowan! We had an issue last week and the response time was fantastic. We were back up and running in no time!

So I initially made a review saying I don't recommend them. Two VP's called me within two hours to get more information. Apparently it was miscommunication of some sort. They will be transferring the warranty from the previous home owner to me. This is how customer service should be. Fact is, their cost of warranty does not change just because the owner did. So there is really no reason not to transfer warranties from previous owners. I commend McGowan's for making things right! I do recommend them!
