I had this company come out to evaluate why my AC wasn't working. They were prompt and professional, and that's where it took a bad turn.

They said I needed a new exterior coil and the next day they called and said they were too busy to to the work.

I paid for the service call and had to pay someone else to come out and re-evaluate and fix the system.

Not professional at all. I told the lady I talked to and she said no worries they had plenty of customers.

Fast forward to 8 weeks later, they call and say the part came in. Were they expecting me to NOT fix my AC in the middle of the summer.

As a side not, I checked the reviews I posted. They deleted my Facebook post and blocked me. They got Angi.com to remove my review as well, so you can't trust them.

After the freon didn't last due to a hole in the a/c coil decided it was time for a replacement. Went with Mike Straddeck and wasn't disappointed. Arrived in the time frame given and went straight to work. By 3 pm the new unit was installed and working. The old unit would take 10-11 hours to go from 82 to 70 degrees and the new unit only took slightly less than 2 hours to reach 70 from 82 degrees. Air seems cleaner and has no issues maintaining the temp set unlike before. Do not hesitate to use for any hvac needs you will not be sorry. Thanks guys and gals

Failed to show for first appointment. Price $10.00 higher than price quoted, then received a bill for 89 cents. From 79 to 89 to 89.89. Gentleman who showed was clean and efficient.

Love this family owned business. They are timely, professional, great guys and affordable. ThEy are honest and fair. Just had two out of fouR units replaced. They cleaned up and removed all old equipment. They maintain my units throughout the year.

We called at 8:00AM as our AC quit during the night. By 10:30 that same morning, a technician was here, checked our unit and fixed the problem. The cost was way less than we expected. The technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. We definitely recommend this company for any AC work. They will be the only one we will call ourselves.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness They made an appointment with us for pipes to be replaced in 2 weeks, and the night before they called us and blew us off! I have never had anyone treat us so nasty on the telephone like that office clerk Lady did!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Mike Straddeck & Associates. I was previously having my HVAC services by a different company, however my heat stopped working a week after my last service (where they "did not hear" the loud buzzing when heat was on, until I turned the heat on and made him wait - at which time the reply was "it wasn't doing that before".

He must not have even turned on the heat because it was consistently doing it). I called Straddeck and they showed up the same day, and showed me the problem within 5 minutes. I needed a new motor and they were able to get it and install it in less than 24 hours. The price was the same as quote from old service provider, but the old provider never followed up to schedule repair (the last I heard was they needed to order the part and someone would call me) and make sure I have heat as we are dropping below freezing today. I've switched my service to Mike Straddeck & Associates where I get fast, fair service and they make sure I am informed and happy (and warm!)

Mike Straddeck and Associates have always been there for us when our air conditioning and heat has gone out. The crews show up on time or call when running late from another job. They are polite and always have on clean uniforms. Great company to call when you need heat or AC work.

They're not the lowest price on the market, but they certainly are the best buy for your money. In the end, they give you the best deal in Hampton Roads. As a home inspector, I always recommend annual contracts for HVAC and termite maintenance and inspections. There are only two companies I recommend.one is Straddeck & Associates. And I'm very demanding.

Left and right hands can't quite. Called oil company the day after last review - said I did indeed have a maintenance contract and to disregard Straddeck fleecing - that Straddeck would be back in a few days to perform maintenance missed last year that caused the filter clog to begin with. New Straddeck man finally came yesterday, spent about 45 mins. this time, and gives me another bill as he leaves only this time it's on the oil company's letterhead instead of Straddeck's.

This one had no breakdown of time but after he pulled away I noticed that there was a charge for the filter and nozzle supposedly replaced 10 days ago. Stay tuned for my further adventures after I talk to the oil company again today - they may be next on my "s" hit list.

I will recommend Mike Straddeck to everyone. They have the best, most efficient service I have ever had dealing with my AC and heating. I had no heat and told them I had to be to work for 1pm. They were empathetic and said they'd have someone out by 1pm. The tech Max was here before 11am and had the part replaced and heat working leaving me plenty of time to get to work on time. This is just one of the reasons I will always use Mike Straddeck.
