I know covid affects all people and businesses. But finding out that no one is coming 10 minutes before a technician is supposed to be on site is unacceptable. No effort was made to make amends except to reschedule. Due to their large window times I lost a half day of work. I did not agree to reschedule.

We used RnR for to diagnose our heat pump problem. So far they have done what they said they'd do, arriving promptly and diagnosing efficiently. We are awaiting followup for options.

From the start of the process to get AC added to our older HVAC setup, R&R has been great! From a detailed initial quote (they inspected things that other companies didn't even look at!) to the fact that they schedule an "inspection" appointment before final installation, at no additional cost (and before having to pay anything) to make sure that they have all the correct measurements and know what they will be needing.

The day of install went very well with JJ & Jake B. working without making too much noise (my wife and I were working from home that day, and both of us were able to take meetings without undue issue). They got the work done quite quickly, even with some issues in getting our non-standard smart thermostat talking to the system properly. We haven't been able to fully stress test the AC (with the weather being so cold in the last week), but everything was working beautifully when the install was done and we tested things real quickly.

All in all, we are very happy with their work (and I haven't really mentioned the ease of getting things paid for, which was very convenient since we didn't want to take out any loans or rely on some weird credit card scheme). My wife and I highly recommend R&R!

Came to give me a quote when another company's seemed pretty high in cost. Super helpful, extremely informative, definitely trustworthy. Will be scheduling with them when we actually need it, which is not quite yet!

I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to make an appointment to come out and fix our heat as we had none. I was thrilled when I got a phone call that said there was a cancellation and the tech could be there in 10 minutes! I believe Colby was his name, he was very friendly and professional and got right to work. A friend of mine referred me to your company and I would absolutely lose you again and pass along that referral to someone else.

I have a mini boiler to provide radiant heating. We had a power surge and the boiler stopped providing heat. I called R & R and was told it would be 3 weeks before they could get to me. I agreed as my options were few. The day before my appointment, I received a call and was told they would not be coming to repair the boiler as they were not adding any new customers. So I'm left without heat until I can find another repair facility. Terrible customer service and a lack of compassion for those in need of heat during the winter.

1st time having to call for service for a furnace, R & R was at our house with in a couple hours, kind and courteous, and had our furnace repaired quickly with no issues since. Price was also very fair! Thank you R&R, Ryan

The people were very nice and professional when they came to look at my unit. However, I needed a new filter box cover made (this was in October). I STILL haven't got the replacement and no one seems to get back to me despite multiple attempts and phone tag. At one point was told that the replacement would be delivered the next week, but that came and went with no replacement delivered. I don't know if they are understaffed or what but communication is VERY lacking.

I purchased a new home 4.5 years ago, in which R&R installed the furnace and water heater. In that 4.5 years, R&R has replaced major components in the furnace 2 times and some of the dampers twice. Two of those times, they came to repair the work that they had done on the prior visit. Now, my water heater has failed. They cannot give me a timeframe of repair.

They don't even know what's wrong with it. Even though, they are super nice on the phone and their repair people are very pleasant to work with, they install products that seem problematic. Except for the first repair, which was under the builder's home warranty, I have had to pay for most of this repair work. Update --- Bill called me this morning with a solution.

They came out just now and fixed the water heater and didn't charge me for the part and cut back on the labor cost, which was satisfactory to me. Within a few hours of my call with Bill this morning, the water heater was up and running. I'm still not happy that this is the 5th major event involving my furnace and water heater on a house that's only 4.5 years old, but I'll admit that R&R took ownership today and got it fixed with little hassle and little out of pocket. Thank you for getting it sorted out. I raised my review from 1 star to 3. It's not perfect, but they got it fixed.

We used R and R to service and repair our Air Conditioner and they were amazing. Very honest and professional. So, when it came time to update our old circa 1970's gas furnace, we called them. They did a great job and walked us through the system when they were done. Very professional, nice people. Highly recommend! Service: Heating system installation

I wish I could recommend R&R, but I can't. My biggest issue is that I get the impression that they intentionally misled me during scheduling / bidding. The initial timeline for install was quoted as 3-4 weeks. At the end of the day it was 6 months. Granted, covid caused delays, however it became clear during the process that they withheld information.

I had an installation appointment set at time of receiving my deposit. This got pushed back approximately weeks. That was unfortunate but I could live with that. When I had an installation date set, the business day before installation I was contacted with the news that the heat pump wouldn't be available but they wanted to push ahead with install of the furnace.

The sales person acted as if this information was a surprise to them, but it clearly wasn't. The heat pump was the important part of the install in order to have some sort of cooling during the summer. It really disappointed me because it was clear that R&R heating had knowledge of these delays for weeks beforehand and likely even when they gave the initial timeline.

Both Randy and Jason were friendly, but that seemed shady to me. Lots of companies had delays due to covid. If R&R had been upfront from the beginning, then I would be fine with the delay. In addition, there were issues with install. An electrical apprentice was used for some work, and he wasn't very careful. To begin with, simple things weren't attended to.

The thermostat controller was installed at a tilt. I had to point it out and offer him the use of a level. More importantly, the wires were yanked out and not used to guide the new wires. This ended up resulting in two holes in my dry wall. One gouge they spackled improperly and the other hole remains open (I stopped them before doing a shoddy job on the second larger hole).

I was assured that the drywall would be fixed, but the damage remained unfixed for two months. I emailed with questions/email regarding the drywall damage and other concerns and received no response (finally a follow up 3-4 weeks later after 3 emails and a phone call). I also needed to stop someone from trying to drill into the hardwood floor with a pilot hole that would remain visible afterward. Lastly, when my install did occur, it was done in two steps approximately 6 weeks apart.

After this part of the install, I was invoiced for the furnace, but at that point it was non-operational with no thermostat connected to it. Invoicing for an incomplete job seems inappropriate. Prior to working with R&R, I had two great experiences with Cougar Mechanical. They were phenomenal on service calls. Their bid was competitive. In hindsight, I really wish I had went with them on this larger job.

I would like to recommend R&R Heating & Air Conditioning. I was greeted by Holly with friendly professionalism when I scheduled the appointment. She was able to schedule the appointment at a time that fit with my schedule. We had a Preventive Maintenance performed on our gas furnace. The Technician Eric called ahead to let us know his expected arrival time.

When he arrived he was wearing a mask. It was wet outside but he slipped on plastic shoe covers so he wouldn't track the mess through our house. He was knowledgeable of our system. He cleaned and tested the system. I believe he worked on the maintenance for about 45 minutes. He also went above my expectations when he grounded wires from a previously installed condensate pump (we installed ourselves). Thank you R&R!

I came home after a really hot day and found that the air conditioner had stopped working and was making a really loud sound outside but definitely not cooling the house inside. Of course it's not working when it was 90° out LOL so I went onto Yelp hunting for help. Called R&R after hours and technician Jeff came out he was amazing fixed our problem fast and was extremely professional. I would definitely recommend them for your needs definitely will be using them in the future COVID Safe he wore a mask.

I was going to get a quote for a new furnace and air conditioner, however, the salesman was arrogant and obnoxious. I have an 80 yr old house and he insisted on checking my air returns. I tried to explain that I am not changing my air returns. Then he needed to check my heat load which no other HVAC had done. He tried to tell me that other companies in Spokane are not doing a proper job installing if they haven't check these things. Really? Then I asked him to leave. I thought I was the customer. Guess not!

R&R did a job for me in February of this year. I felt confident in hiring them even though it was the more expensive of the bids I received. I felt they would be thorough in the replacement and repair of a water heater. When they were finishing the job I noticed a fair amount of water still remained at the base of the water heater. I asked if that was normal and the technician said it would dry up and they left with a $4600 payment.

I checked the area a couple hours later to find that there was more water and it had leaked into the drywall. I called R&R right away and the technician was out the next morning. They had not opened up a valve and that is why there was a continual leak. It was an accident but clearly their responsibility. While attempting to figure out what was happening I burned the arm of a new down jacket on a hot pipe.

I just recently purchased the jacket. After submitting an online review to the company, Jason Denmen phoned to apologize and offer to somehow make amends for my jacket. I really appreciated this only to be literally "ghosted" from that point on. No replies after I followed up with a couple emails. Very frustrating to be heard only to be ignored. Steve Tackett was the gentlemen who provided the estimate and again I believed he was on the level but I don't believe that was the case.

We had a routine cleaning scheduled 2/21/19. Once Shane, the technician arrived and began, he informed us our furnace was unsafe. It was missing a safety switch and he had no choice but to turn our furnace off. He assured us that the part would be ordered from Tacoma, and flown overnight. It would arrive on the 22nd by 7AM and the office would call and let us know when he would be out to put to install it. Shane did return with space heaters to help keep the house warm as the low temps were in the teens.

By 4 o'clock today, February 22nd, we had not heard from R and R and upon calling, we were informed that the part had not been ordered. We were left, literally, in the cold. All the managers were gone for the day/weekend and not available to help with the situation. The CS rep was not helpful, did not offer any solutions, or have any sympathy or compassion for the situation. I would not recommend or use this company again.

If I could give ten stars, I definitely would. R&R has always taken care of us. However, when our furnace died this week I called and was told they didn't have an appointment available until next Tuesday. I couldn't wait due to temps dipping into the teens at night and I have two small children. I asked if there was any recommendation who I could contact.

Even though it meant losing our business, I was given the name and number for Holliday Heating- one of their biggest competitors. I want R&R to know how much it means to us that they put a client's needs above their own so that we wouldn't have to be without heat longer than absolutely necessary. It's a true testament to their values.

The install team did an excellent job with the install of the whole home steam humidifier. They explained what they were going to do and paid attention to how it would look (location of conduit, wiring, unit location, and drain line). Took there time and cleaned up afterwards. Explained how the unit works and discussed maintenance, including demonstrating what was involved. Overall, excellent experience and would recommend for future service, installs, and repairs.

We purchased a new home this past winter and were unable to test the AC because of the temps. In June we brought R&R Heating out to service the heating and the AC and found out the heating unit and humidifier were only a year old and working fine. However the AC was on its last legs. Since we are not full time residents yet, we setup the installation of the new AC for a week in September when we would be back unpacking.

The estimate was a simple process, mailed them a check for the down payment and installation was scheduled. Two competent, friendly and respectful guys arrived at 8:30am and were completed by 3:00pm. Our inspector arrived the following morning and signed off on the work. Bing, Bang Boom we have a brand new AC! Highly recommend this company and everyone we have spoken with on the phone.

We recently built a custom home and our contractor hired R&R. This company was the only sub who we would never hire again and would encourage anyone installing new equipment to look elsewhere. We have never built a house before so when we were asked do we want one zone or two or more I asked for their advice. R&R strongly encouraged us to install one zone.

This for a house with just short of 6,000 feet on two floors. Several months later as the uneven heating surfaced and R&R pretty much didn't return calls we went on a two week trip. Coincidentally, one of the other people on this trip owns a large heating and air conditioning company. We described the problems we were having and he was very surprised we only have one zone for a house that large.

We still have a master bedroom too hot int he winter at night and a basement bedroom 10 degrees cooler than the thermostat is set during the winter. The equipment they installed has a fan that only runs at one speed and they have encouraged us to run it at all times which we do. However it is very noisy and much quieter modulating fans exist. This was never discussed with us and since it was a bid installation I think I know the reason.

One of the reasons we run the fan is to circulate the cool air in the basement upstairs during the summer. Unfortunately, they didn't install enough return vents so this doesn't occur. We built in a natural gas barbecue that needed to be plumbed in. We had asked R&R to do this when they ran a gas line to that location during construction. However, when I called they told me to do it myself.

They said that it didn't need a hvac person to do it even though they were the ones who ran the gas line back there. I called the Lynx company. They made the barbecue and they said DO NOT do it yourself it must be done by a professional and we finally found someone else to do the job. Our neighbor who also had R&R has had issues as well.

Paid the price to have someone to look at my furnace. They came cleaned out the air intake pipe and said we should be good to go. This person never asked what the symptoms are or what's it doing nothing. He left shortly after 5pm. I take my kids trick or treating and leave them with my hubby to head to pool league. Come home at 10pm to a cold house. HHHMMMM My pilot light went out yet again.

The same issue that I have been fighting before wasting my money. It's supposed to be freezing this week and not wasting another cent on these people to have nothing accomplished. Now I'm still stuck with no heat and even less $ to do anything about it. UPDATE: Got a call to make it right. They sent a tech out again that spent a while to figure it out.

I made an appointment to have my oil fired burner which powers my radiant floor heating almost two weeks in advance. I got a call the morning of my appointment saying they were sorry and there was an oversight, they actually don't even service oil fired furnaces. They didn't tell me at the time I first spoke to them, nor the other two times when I spoke to someone about additional concerns I wanted addressed when the technician came.

I am willing to be understanding if people make a mistake, but not informing me when I called to check on my service appointment, and then calling me to say they aren't coming on the morning of the appointment is unacceptable! Look elsewhere for your heating needs.

During the hot part of early August we had water coming from what we thought was condensation at or around our AC unit. It was affecting ceiling tiles and we needed to get it done. They were busy so it waited from Thursday until Tuesday and that was understandable due to the extreme heat everyone was encountering. But the guy got to our business and spent most of his short time telling us why he could not fix or diagnose anything.then turned around and billed us for 2 hours of time. Unacceptable!

Only referral I could give this company is a negative one. They should be ashamed for billing anything but a minimum service call and a real good business that did nothing would probably not do that.

Made an appointment they made it 2 weeks out. Okay beginning of season okay. Guy came out took down all the info for the estimate for a new heater and AC unit was talking about doing stuff that the other companies didn't. Okay. Waited 5 business days for email or call or snail-mail. Nothing. Called had to leave a message, couldn't leave the whole thing because the machine cut me off. Called back next day she said "Oh I told him to call you". Nothing again. Like everyone else they don't want all business.

We had a new Tech this time named Jonathan Napolitano. I have got to tell you he was the best Tech we have ever had and we have had some good techs from R&R heating. He was not only professional and thorough but he also took time to explain things. He was gentle in his suggestions to change how we had things set up and he made us feel confidant about your service. Johnnie was patient and helped us figure out things. Jonathan Napolitano is a keeper and we will request him again. Thanks for sending him to us. Auleen and Gerald Duffy

After having R&R unhook our AC for a construction project, and then hook it back up, our AC began to fail a few days later, of course when our temps are in the 90's. I ended up calling on a Sunday morning. 10 min later a service tech called me, and we discussed what was going on. He said I should turn off the AC, and call back on Monday during normal hours( saving me $$).

I called back on Monday morning, and I believe I spoke to the owner.(Steve?) He sent a tech out late morning. The tech found a leak, and was honest enough to say, it was probably caused by the work a few days earlier. He fixed the leak, and got us working again, all no charge. It was a fine example of a business and its employee doing the right thing, when it would have been easy to have charged me a service call, repair costs, and even weekend rates. Thank you for doing the right thing. You have earned our business.

Great service & fast. Our employee contacted me at 5am and told me our AC was not working at our business. We require our shop temperature to be constant. Called at 515am and by 2pm a tech was here, repaired our AC for way less than we anticipated and offered us a maintenance program on our AC. GREAT COMPANY A+ SERVICE!

Had R and R out for my furnace. The pump went out, and I needed a quick fix. I called Monday morning and they had someone out by mid afternoon. (That was great). Guy looks at my furnace and says your pumps out. (Yup, that's what I said when I called). He doesn't have the part and has to have the office give me a call. He collects 90 some dollars, that I can't use for the repairs and leaves.

I get a call a few hours later and am told it will be 8-10 days (they must order the part) and parts and labor will come to $580. Now, I'm not the most handy person, but I'm no sucker. I go to Amazon and find the blower, and through some research discover I will need a restriction plate. (Not mentioned in my quote as most people try and use the old one). It's gonna cost me $207 dollars and I can have it in 2 days. 6 screws 2 connections on the main board, and a ground wire later I have a working furnace. Soooo if you would like to spend $460 in labor on a $200-$250 dollar part, and wait 10 days with no heat, give R and R a call.

What an absolutely horrible company. We called and scheduled an appointment to have an AC unit install estimate, it was going to take them three weeks to come out so we set the appointment. The next day, we were able to get ACI Heating and cooling to come out, and ACI was able to have a new unit installed that same week. So in less then a week we were able to get ACI to come do an estimate and install a unit.

So 3 weeks later the estimator for R&R shows up at the door. Whoops, I totally forgot about you coming out. I apologize for forgetting and he has a crappy attitude and starts treating me like I am some big a-hole. Well, maybe they shouldn't make people wait three weeks for AN ESTIMATE. They guy was a complete a-hole with a crappy attitude. I'm pretty glad that I didn't go with this company. If his attitude is even remotely representative of the company I saved myself a ton of hassle.

Well after trying to do some research, I was in the market for a new ultra efficient heater/air conditioner heat pump set up. It seemed like there were 3 big games in town that I could tell R&R which carried the Trane brand, Costco/Banner heating and fuel that had lenox, and I think another that carried Amana. I called R&R and asked them for a quote and only had the next afternoon to meet up.

So even though I called the day before they had someone out 1pm the next day, who did an assessment and spoke to me in regard to furnace/air and heat pumps. He was of course somewhat of a salesman but overall was very nice and provided very fair assessment of the job. What was really great is there was not one moment of upselling. He really pointed out why I even should not go for a model that was more expensive.

So he even sold me a cheaper setup than I was looking for. He also said I could keep my filter and humidifier. Didn't even try to seel me his versions. The quote was good and I decided to go with them. The next few days I was called by the engineer to setup a sight visit. Todd really knows his HVAC, and I was more than willing to talk to me about a NEST thermostat I had.

I really wanted to keep but he wasn't sure if it would work. He even took the extra steps to call the company and see if it would! They then scheduled the install for a day that I actually had to work all day. I was a little nervous leaving the crew alone but hey what are you going to do? Needless to say 3 guys did the install and I think took most of the day.

I got home at 5 to see them all wearing shoe covers and everything installed perfectly. They even cleaned out my humidifier that was clogged up. I walked around the work and you can tell it was all just done really well. Joints siliconed, they went to extra work to route the pipes out of my way. They walked me through the thermostat and everyone was super professional. Buying a new system is pretty stressful, kinda like buying a car where you really don't know what costs what.

That being said, I can say these guys really do quality work and you can tell that they cared to do it right and professional. It was totally worth it! Overall a super professional crew and the trane brand seems to be very popular and a strong brand! Thanks R&R!
