Davis Rawal, inventor of the Rawal Device, was one of those creative engineers who could uncover cost-effective solutions to unusual problems. Rawal's ingenuity ranged from inventions that resulted in patents (a very early air-to-air heat exchanger) to solutions that provided an edge in winning and completing a competitive project (a severely space-constrained DX evaporator air handling unit).
Air conditioning applications suffer from systemic problems, such as dehumidification, that are not easily solved with current equipment and controls capabilities. Even modern air conditioning systems are unable to vary system capacity to match changing load conditions other than with expensive technologies.
Technicians & contractors are curious about how the APR Control compares to similar technologies that provide system compressor and capacity modulation. The APR can be installed on both new and retrofit projects; allowing you to keep existing in-place systems and still achieve variable capacity at a reduced budget.
The Rawal APR Control provides continuous capacity modulation for all sizes and configurations of air conditioning systems. By matching system capacity to continuously changing load conditions, the APR Control-enhanced system is able to maintain better comfort conditions, as well as provide a number of unique solutions that standard air conditioning systems (usually below 100 tons) are unable to achieve.

We have installed multiple Rawal valves for customers with oversized HVAC systems, the results are always outstanding. We recently installed an APR on a 5 ton heat pump where the customer was constantly complaining about too hot, too cold, and too humid. The combination of a Rawal, Ecobee thermostat, and blower fan speed adjustment has produced an end result where the customer can keep their space at 74 degF and 45% relative humidity, a very happy customer! Thanks for a wonderful product that works as advertised.
