Past experience with this company has been very good. However, I purchased an AC system for $10,000+ 6 years ago; it stopped working; they came out to tell me it needed a new fan motor and they told me the equipment was not under warranty and would cost $1,000+ to replace. I complained about being sold a system with a 10-year warranty; so they checked and "discovered" that it WAS under warranty and then the replacement cost was reduced to $300+.

I still got charged a service fee to come out and tell me that the system they sold me, which turned out to be under warranty, needed to be fixed. VERY, VERY disappointed and unhappy with how they go about their business. They are great if you sign a "blank check"; very good staff -- but they have a lot of work to do to actually "take care of the customer". They seem to be lazer-focused on how to get as much $$$ out of you as possible. If you want an upgrade in value, go visit your dentist.

Sanibel Air takes care of our home on Sanibel, and I have to say they have some of the best customer service! We had asked about something for our AC unit and they took the time to explain the pros and cons and give us the information we needed to make the best decision. Very trustworthy! Services: Install AC, A/C system repair, Repair HVAC

Honest fair and knowledgeable. Reached out to them after another company was about to rip us financially off. Sanibel Air saved us thousands literally. They are great!

We have been customers of Sanibel Air and Electric for many years. During that time we strayed when we bought another home and needed some service on a newly installed unit from the previous owner. HUGE mistake. To put it simply the service was substandard. Instead of taking care of servicing my HVAC system, the "Tech" was trying to sell me the entire time. Will not wander again. I can be sure that we are well cared for by Sanibel Air and Electric.

I give the service tech, Tim, a 5+. He came on time, checked out the unit and replaced the Thermostate unit, which I knew as bad. The price, including installation was like the other reviewer said, about 200 I think. With the heat here I would have paid anything LOL. However, that said, I must agree that if the thermostat is onyly 30 dollars at Home Depot, the mark up seems a little excessive, But Hey, after all I am on Sanibel Island and I have to pay $6 everytime I come on the island so it is what it is. They may not be cheap but they are dependable :-

Highly recommend! I had a difficult to find and fix electrical problem that stranded my boat on the lift. These guys stayed after it until 5 on a Friday so I could get my grandkids out on the boat once before they left. They found the bad wires and figured out a way to fix it. I have always used the. For my AC and now they will be my call for electrical too.

Sanibel air and electric did both some a/c reap air and electric repair at our home. They confirmed appointments each time the day before and their guys were extremely kind and helpful. We did a halo air cleaner that is amazing as well as a WiFi thermostat too. I would recommend these fine folks - the office staff is great and a pleasure to work with as well.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with Sanibel Air's company service the other day and my extreme dissatisfaction. I had gone out to Home Depot and purchased a nice programmable and wi-fi enabled Thermostat for $129.00. The Sanibel Air technician was unable to get it to work. Since we did not have air conditioning running and it was Saturday, I agreed to pay 212.00 to Sanibel Air for a thermostat the Sanibel Air technician had in his truck.

Later I found out that the exact thermostat sells for ~30 at Home Depot. I also had asked the Sanibel Air technician what the total charge was going to be and he said 212. I asked if that included the service charge and the Sanibel Air said yes. I'm extremely upset that I had to over pay for a thermostat, that Sanibel Air was not able to install t, and then on top of that Sanibel Air charged me the 79 service fee in addition to the 212.00. Extremely dissatisfied!

Sanibel Air and Electric has serviced both our A/C and Electrical needs for a few years. And during that time, I've never been disappointed in the level of service and, most importantly, the great staff supporting the company's services. Most recently, we had some problems with our A/C system, which needed some new parts, etc. The office staff worked hard to find the part and get it the technicians so we didn't suffer too long in the hot Florida weather.

Especially helpful was Brandon, assisted by Nate, who worked tirelessly to get us up and running. Brandon was thorough, explained what he was doing and really went the extra yard for us. We sincerely appreciate his efforts on our behalf. A level of service we've come to expect from Sanibel Air and Electric. BPR

Sanibel Air has provided the very best service for our air conditioning system for many years here on Sanibel. The salt air is tough on units but ours have held up very well thanks to their excellent maintenance. Scott has been our technician a number of times and he is a true professional: always on time for appointments, efficient, and expert at what he does. Thank you Sanibel air!

Just got charged $127.95 for them to tell me I'm running the air too cold re: Ive ran my unit at the same temp for 4 years and never had a problem. Had your company do a routine service on the unit and a couple months later I have a brown liquid dripping on my car. I called to have that checked on since your first tech had to wait for another tech to bring him a tool to complete the service call.

The second tech never showed but 15 min later the job was "complete". So when I had a leak I was concerned. I was under the impression that it was a warranty call to check on the first service that was done. Your technician missed the Friday appointment and then showed up 2 hours late on Saturday. The "minor adjustment" was he leveled my already level bracket holding the handler then stuffed a cut up rag in the bracket holding the handler, which I got and cut for him.

He then tried to charge me the "weekend" rate to which I had to inform him did not apply since the appointment was missed on Friday. So yes, you deserve a poor review for poor customer service. Anthony Wayne - unhappy ex-customer
