Texas Air Products (TAP) was founded by Gordon Ross of Austin, Texas in 1983, with locations in Austin and San Antonio. In the early years the company was primarily known for air distribution and ventilation products. In 1989 Robert Stinson, P.E. was hired as an outside sales representative for the San Antonio office and soon grew into a leadership capacity with TAP; Robert Stinson purchased the company in 2002 and has served as President since.
