Layne and Tyler were wonderful! Very professional and gave all the details about the decisions being made. They were also upfront about costs and waited for the okay to do anything. I didn't feel rushed so that they could get to the next job even in the heat of summer so much so that we had a whole conversation not related to the issue. Also, helped set up an action plan moving forward for the next months. Grateful for them getting out to us less than 24 hours after an initial call.

Thermal Services installed a number of appliances for me 2 years ago. Their routine maintenance visits and repair services under warranty have been amazing. A few years ago, I needed a new Furnace and Air Conditioner, the later had stopped and we were in an unusual stretch of 100 degree weather. I had two companies come and give me bids in the best top of the line equipment they could offer, in fact I decided I also wanted a Tankless Water Heater and a Water Softener. As one could imagine the price was high.

The most pressing was of course the A/C. Those companies could not do anything for two to three weeks. I decided to try one more. Thermal Services was similar in price and said they could do the whole job the next day. Service after the sale includes they have service men whose regular hours are at night. So 24/7 issues are no problem. Their staff and technicians are excellent.

routine maintenance service on furnace is excellent.
Josue was efficient and very good explaining aspects of digital thermostat. Office staff also was great about getting us in early as someone else cancelled. Also given good information on carbon monoxide detector placement and replacement schedule.

Unbelievable the amount they overcharge for parts. They installed a new Draft Inducer Motor on my Trane XR95 furnace on 12/12/2019. The replacement motor was an OEM Fasco BLW01139 that averages about $300. It took them about 90 minutes to install it and they charged me $983.82 for this. Overpriced is an Understatement. I won't be using Thermal again for anything.

Plumbing On June 18th, I had an appointment for a technician to come out and install a PVC kit under my bathroom sink. While installing the PVC, their technician, Paul tells me he realized my water in the tank was running too often so he changed the flapper in my toilet. While he working on the PVC kit, I noticed he and his partner were flushing the toilet a lot so I asked them how everything was going.

They said it was fine. They finished the job and I noticed they used a couple of my Clorox wipes because they were open on the counter. They'd cleaned the sink and I was okay with it. As soon as they left, I noticed the toilet lever wasn't as strong when I pushed it and the water wasn't as forceful when it flushed. I attributed to the new flapper installed.

After a couple of days, I began to get annoyed by the fact that tissues were not flushing and nothing would flush down the toilet until I plunged, which never seemed to result in a complete flush. I made an appointment where Paul was supposed to come by and fix the problem. I explained to Paul that the toilet was running fine before he changed the flapper.

He explained that, in his opinion, the toilet was clogged and he could snake it, but it would cost me $100. I decline and he told me it would cost $50 just because he came to look at it. I was upset and explained my frustration to Paul because I wasn't made aware of a fee and my toilet was working perfect before Paul changed my flapper. It has been a couple of days since the event and although my fee will be waived, my toilet is still not fixed. Joe, the plumbing manager, offered to fix it for a "fee", but when I told Joe I would not be paying a fee, he suggested just "coming to look at it" as a solution.

I am very disappointed with their customer service and once my plumbing contract is over, I will be discontinuing my business with their plumbing department, as I am still contracted and have a warranty with their A/C department. I would never recommend Thermal to anyone and I plan to report them to the BBB, as well.

Don't call these people unless you are a member of their service. It seems like that is what they are selling. I paid $53 (service call)for tech to spend two minutes in my house not even getting under the sink or turning facet on to tell me most likely my bill would be $430. If I join service would be cheaper. They need to be honest with people when they call if they are going to pull this nonsense.

Be VERY cautious when calling them. We called and explained to them that we just needed a BID - an ESTIMATE before determining how to proceed. We didn't know if our unit was repairable or if it was time for a new unit. They charged us for the estimate! Any other company would have given us a free estimate, but not this company. We will never use them again.

We've had a service plan for about four years or maybe more now. Every single technician that has come out has been not only knowledgeable, but super nice. They do all the small things that make for a good experience like wearing booties when necessary and being kind, personable, and explaining anything they need to explain in a way that is understandable to the lay person. I've only experienced above and beyond work from this company.

The technicians are great. If they are slightly higher than others in town, then they are worth It. Plus, they seem to treat their employees right and that is also important to me. I'd rather see a company send two people for a one person job when things are slow and keep their employees on the payroll than giving me a slightly cheaper price.

It means they have enough employees that are well trained during busy times. It's a win-win-win. Good for the company, good for the customer, and good for employees. Thermal Services has it right. Once we did experience a situation where, because our AC unit is so unusual and old, it stopped working after being serviced. Thermal services had a senior tech out to us immediately and fixed the problem at no charge.

Nothing is ever perfect, so it is all about how you respond to situations that aren't ideal and Thermal does it right. We just switched addresses and had our new unit serviced and again they went above and beyond. I was so impressed. I wanted to move a vent and they did it at no charge since it took 5 minutes in this particular situation. Awesome work! LOVE this company!

Before Mom passed and we took over the responsibilities of The House, she got a service plan with Thermal. I thought she was a smart woman then and I know now she was on of the smartest people I have ever known. I work in maintenance and although I have to spell the word out every time I write it, I know a good thing. (I also have to spell out Michael and I have been writing it for 35+yrs) Broderick (Brody) comes by twice a year to check and clean the HVAC/R system.

Everything is checked. Down to amperage of the capacitor and Subcooling/Superheat calls. I know that my system is running at optimum ability and efficiency when he leaves. The techs have all been great and a little bit of money for peace of mind is worth it. I don't have to go buy filters when I know they have them on the truck. Usually I am the one who has to troubleshoot and repair units, but I like not having to do anything but sign my name on the invoice. I will continue to invest in my own comfort and would recommend that you do the same

Any place you look for HVAC services in the Omaha area, this is the first thing you'll see, so they do a great job advertising. Unfortunately everything else is suspect. I called them out to a house that has been sold and is approaching closing date. The buyer's home inspector somehow pulled the fuse to the furnace and we needed a licensed HVAC technician to simply write an invoice stating the system was functioning.

We didn't need a full diagnostic check or the system serviced, and it wasn't a case of us being cheap; it's not going to be our furnace anymore! We asked the tech to do exactly what we agreed to do for the buyer. The tech stood there and took one look at it and said "I'll tell you right now this furnace has a cracked heat exchanger." In any case, he did his thing, system worked fine, he said there's a bunch of other problems that need to be addressed.

He wasn't happy that we didn't want to address them. (Remember, not going to be our furnace) So he charges me 100.00, splits, and emails the invoice, which said. The system functions but air conditioner does not work well and client refused to do a full diagnostic check because they're trying to sell the house. Yeah, I can send that to the buyer showing the system works. They'll be happy with that.

So I had to pay another HVAC service, Xtreme HVAC to come out and this is what they found: Not only was our system functional, the A/C worked perfectly, the heat exchanger was NOT cracked and if it had been, that was covered by the warranty for another 5 years. I went to work and mentioned this experience to co workers and found that about half of my co workers have had the same problem with the same company. Basically, if you bring them out they will want to replace your entire HVAC system and they will punish you if you don't play along.

Every single person I've talked to, at least 5 or 6 people, had the "cracked heat exchanger" and 2 of those replaced a whole furnace over it. 2 guys got a second opinion and found the heat exchanger claim was false, just like I did. This is a business that is systemically unethical and it seems about half of Omaha already knows it. The other half calls them because their advertising is fantastic and they're getting enough new business to stay afloat. It's time for that to end. Tell your friends. Maybe if these people have to tighten the belt a little they will learn some ethical business practices.

We called them for an air conditioning issue and they came out and our service person was great. He was courteous and professional. He explained and showed us the issues. He wore booties on his shoes as he had to come thru the house a few times. We were so happy to have the problem fixed in an hour. He had all the parts with him too. John S. was our sevice rep and he was great.

I first called in to make an appointment for a plumber to come out because I thought I needed a water heater, the female that sent a plumber out was an all out rude bi%ch. She was snotty and short with me, her name was Megan. then the plumber comes and he is an hour later than when she called to tell me he would be there. He was terrible, had to come back 3 times, and then had his boss call who was speechless. The boss guy didn't even know how to talk to a mad customer. I will not go back, to much money, terrible service.

I've been with Thermal Services for going on three years. I love Thermal Services : We were referred to the company by my husband's associate at UNO. Their services are great, the employees are respectable, clean up after themselves and genuinely love their jobs. Duane and all the past services I've had with the company have all been exceptional.

I highly doubt any reviews that are negative about this company is hogwash, they have an axe to grind and are not reputable. They are upfront and honest and I cannot see going to anyone else for all my heating and plumbing needs. Great company and I love them.

I wish I could give zero stars. Completely unethical and their management's solution to fixing problems is a joke. I hope this company closes, karma is a b****. Do NOT do business with them.

My furnace went out mid January in the middle of the night. During one of the -10 degree nights. My wife and I had a 5 day old at the time and couldn't wait to have someone come in the morning. I called the 24 hour help line. They came out promptly, charged me $180 and informed me that the "evap coil" was too dirty and the flip switch had gone out.

Nothing they could do until mid day. Fast forward to mid day, the came out, informed me they couldn't clean the evap-coil and i would have to buy a new one $1500 or replace the furnace. They quoted me $4000 and could have it in tomorrow. I called a local furnace company, they came out. Charged me $150 to clean the evap coil and to replace the flip switch. Thermal works off of "SPIFS" and their only need is to replace your entire system for profit. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to them.

I hired Thermal Services when we bought our first home in 2007. My experience was not quiet what I expected. My seasonal maintenance went well for my A/C. They found an out-of-tolerance capacitor that caused the system to run inefficiently. However, when I had my winter furnace maintenance, they sent a kid who spent the ENTIRE time on his cell phone yacking to some friend about his drinking and sex life.

It took him a few tries to get his work done. and within minutes of him leaving, my furnace started running for 30+ minutes without firing. When I called the company back, they sent a few techs to look at it and they claimed that there was nothing wrong with the system. After I pressed them about the sudden change in operation, the senior tech seemed to think that maybe my furnace was shot (a little alarming since it was only 8 years old at the time).

But it was the attitude of the older techs that defended their young apprentice that upset me - that I must have no clue how the system operated and that I was just freaking out about nothing. Regardless, I no longer used Thermal and found a different technician who fixed the problem that Thermal caused within a few minutes of looking at the system.

I find it hard to rate them a 1-star because the truly did seem interested in solving my problem, at least until I refused their idea that "nothing was wrong." I do not believe I was scammed but do believe I was a victim of a distracted, under experienced technician.
