I'm not someone that leaves many reviews, but I felt like the workmanship performed by Vermont Energy was deserving of a 5-star review. I am so very pleased with the results of installing a 2nd heat pump in my home. They could not have been better to work with. Drew took every opportunity to ensure I would be pleased with the outcome, and I am. He's a real asset to their company.

This is the 2nd piece of HVAC equipment Vermont Energy has installed for me, and both times, I've been beyond pleased with the results. They are well worth the money, and I wouldn't choose to hire anyone else.

VT Energy Contracting installed a new water heater tank for me. They were extremely professional and worked through a complicated installation set-up. The heater tank is working fine, and I am grateful for their service.

We had VT Energy install a Mitsubishi multi-zone cold climate heat pump in our home. They were absolutely great. Peter, our sales person was extremely helpful in explaining how heat pumps worked and answering all of our questions. The two installers were friendly, polite, and professional. When it was installed, they thoroughly explained how to use the controls.

They also patiently answered our questions. The day they installed it, it was 3 degrees out. In spite of the cold, they attended to every detail. While we bought it mostly for cooling the house in the summer months, when we do use it now, it is really incredible how quickly it can warm our home up. We will definitely use VT Energy for our HVAC needs.

We just had a heat pump installed by Vermont Energy to provide both heat and AC to our home. This new installation was replacing a smaller BTU, AC-only mini-duct split that they had installed at least 10 years ago. The old AC-only unit still functions like a champ, but we wanted to have a new unit that also provides heat with multiple zones. We called Vermont Energy as we had always been happy with their work and service. Admittedly, the job had some challenges.

The work got done over 2 days during a cold snap with snow on the ground. We live on the 3rd floor and so the outside installation was high up. The crew was amazing. The job required HVAC, electric, and carpentry work. The crew arrived when they said they would. They worked efficiently and reduced risks by working on scaffolding and for some part of the job, a cherry-picker.

They did what they needed to get the job done quickly and professionally. They were professional, polite and down to business. I will also add that this project happened during the peak of the covid-19 omicron surge. The entire crew was on board with doing the work safely, quickly and reducing the risk of Covid. Everyone wore N95 masks while inside.

They were respectful of us and our space. They took their shoes off inside and left things "swept up tidy." We had an energy audit performed just after the heat pump installation and the auditor commented on the job and how professional and tidy it was. There was great care to have minimal piping on the exterior of the building and to have some of it concealed within existing architectural bump outs.

They covered the essential exterior piping with a protective cover that closely matched the color of our building. We are extremely happy with Vermont Energy and their work. I highly recommend them!

Vermont Energy Contracting and Supply installed a new AC into my home. They did a thorough assessment of my HVAC system making sure it had plenty of return air and supply registers for the size of my home. They worked with me for the placement of additional return air register that was needed. Vermonet Energy made an excellent recommendation to install a heat pump instead of an AC for an improved flexibility of both cooling and cost effective heating when it's above 38 degree Fahrenheit.

During installation they found a bypassed safety sensor in my heating system that another company installed and gave me the info so that I was able to make the other company to fix their mistake. Overall I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them as an HVAC contractor.

Vermont Energy did exactly what was promised - on time and on budget. The tech on-site staff did a very professional job from start to (earlier than promised) finish! Can't say enough about the company and their staff. And the heat pump/mini splits they put in - life changing! Hurry ad get on their list to get yours - we are thrilled. Mike C.

My partner, Ricky, already posted a rave review for this company. Everything did go well. until it didn't. A few weeks after the installation of our brand new heating/air system, it died. Our compressor stopped working, so we had no AC. We called Vermont Energy, and they made no attempt to rectify this situation quickly. They seemed unconcerned. The next appointment to come look at our system was two weeks away.

During that appointment, it was determined that a bad electrical connection fried the compressor motor. So, now we have waiting four weeks total for them to come back and hopefully repair (if they diagnosed the problem correctly) our brand new system. Maybe we will have AC before the summer ends. It was installed on June 8th. Wish us luck!

I recommend them for private work because they answer their phone, setup a time to meet to understand what you are looking for and answering multiple questions. They quickly followed up by a quote and setup a time to do the install. They showed up on time and were very professional to me and courteous of my house. They installed very efficiently including having their own electrician. Their price wasn't unreasonable and the quality of the Mitsubishi units are the best.

I requested a quote to replace a hydronic heating system 3 yrs after having the heat exchanger replaced on my old system. They said they wouldn't quote me a new system since I hadn't taken their recommendation 3 yrs ago, even though I said I now wanted to replace it. I don't appreciate being treated rudely by a contractor, which is how I would describe this interaction.

The service tech who did show up when I requested a sales quote told me my exhaust and fresh air intake system did not meet code, which is not true. I would not recommend these guys based on their poor customer interaction skills. Can't really say how good their service is.

We had a service call to check on the condition of our heating system, and were very pleased with the knowledge, manner and information from the service person. The charge was reasonable.

I absolutely do NOT recommend this company. I had them come for a service call and it ended up costing me $332 and my problem went unresolved. They were not willing to work with me on that price at all, even though I was never told the price of a product they recommended I install, to attempt to fix it. I understand the cost of sending someone out, but not working with me when a problem wasn't solved leaves me extremely disappointed. I had considered them for another project until I got the invoice. Expect arrogance when dealing with them, and expensive service prices. Look elsewhere.

We had VT Energy to do boiler/furnace maintenance and they did good work. However, when I requested a an appointment with the sales team to install a new water tank, they never showed up and never called me. I eventually called and received a poor response of "someone will get back to you". They never did. I used a vacation day from my job specifically to meet with VT Energy and they wasted it without an apology, explanation, or followup. I assume they no longer want our business so now we have found another company who stays true to their word and has common courtesy.

Had them install an insanely expensive state of the art boiler. They did a great job installing and the first year was wonderful, but since then there have been expensive service calls which have put a 'damper' on my experience with them. When you spend almost ten grand, the point is not having to spend a lot of money fixing things in subsequent years.

A zone valve failed after two years (they typically last ten to twenty years), an error light shut off the boiler, they sent a technician out who simply pushed a reset button. He was there less than two minutes and charged me $100. They could have instructed me to try this over the phone as a simple courtesy. Over $500 in service calls for broken/defective parts means I wouldn't use them again.

If they had given me some type of courtesy discount for parts failing much earlier than they should have, it would have left a much better impression. I've since found a family-owned plumbing and heating business, and they've been so wonderful and kind about helping me avoid spending money unnecessarily. When I call them about a simple repair, they have helped guide me to less expensive alternatives. They've installed two hot water heaters and one (much cheaper) high efficiency boiler, and three years later all is well, not one service call or failed part.
