Heating and cooling has been the family trade for three generations. Dave Watkins (grandpa) served in the Air National Guard where he received HVAC training. He eventually started a commercial/industrial company with his three sons. For more than twenty-six years now, Randy and his son David have operated Watkins Heating & Cooling, shifting their focus toward homeowners who value quality and service.
We know that shopping for a new Air Conditioner can be daunting. It has become more and more complicated with new technology, energy rebates, more difficult installation requirements, efficiency ratings and operating cost, warranties, factory rebates, etc. It's enough to make your head hurt! I've been using Watkins for almost 5 years. Josh has always done my system maintenance in the spring and fall. He does a great job at answering my concerns about my old heating/AC system and gave me several options that met my needs and my budget. When the time came for me to replace it they had an installation crew here in less than a week. Eric and his crew worked Non-Stop and completed the job in less time than I had been told.

They cleaned up all evidence of their visit and Eric explained everything they had done, answered any questions I had and they were on their way. Everyone I've dealt with at Watkins has been professional, reliable, considerate, and knowledgeable. I refer people to them whenever I can!

I have a large historic brick home (built 1840s) that had no existing ductwork and just an old, but functioning boiler. It's very difficult to find an HVAC contractor to work on a boiler. Watkins did so with confidence. I also needed an experienced HVAC company to install AC in my home. I knew I was essentially limited to minisplits, which are very costly, so I wanted an experienced and confident company.

One company I called sent a representative that had no confidence and couldn't answer any of the questions I had for my historic home. Another contractor didn't want to touch the job. Brad from Watkins came out and embraced the challenge. He proposed systems for me that would be sufficient for cooling the home. I was able to reach him throughout the proposal process and he answered all my questions.

I knew Watkins was the company to hire. Install took 3 days due to the size of the home and number of units to be installed. Kevin and his crew were courteous, clean, and meticulous. Everything looked incredible when they were done. Kevin took the time to walk me through all the features of my new system after a 12 hour day of work. It was not only a great finished product, but A+ service.

I will only hire Watkins for my future HVAC needs. The expertise and service I received was unique in this industry. The pricing was fair as well, but above all else, I felt the check I wrote was justified. Don't look around, just choose Watkins.

Watkins Heating & Colling is a class act. I purchased and had installed a new furnace and a/c system. I was well informed by my sales person, and my Installer Matt (with his helper). The installation had a few bumps but it was nothing Matt couldn't handle. Both installers were very polite, and kept me informed along the way. They did a great job. Excellent Company.

We needed someone to service our fuel oil furnace. The dispatcher was pleasant and helpful. Josh called the next day 30 min before the appointment time and confirmed he was on his way. Very professional, polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote. He came back as scheduled and completely serviced our furnace which was totally screwed up from the last company. You get what you pay for as Watkins wasn't the cheapest but the service and overall job was excellent. Thanks Josh great job!

We had our unit installed in April and it is very efficient. There was an annoying high pitched sound coming from the unit. I called and spoke to Jess who scheduled an appointment for a specialist to check it out. Kyle arrived and was so pleasant and found the noise issue immediately. We have used Watkins in the past for several things. My most recent interaction with them was when I was the high bidder in the Springboro Chamber of Commerce silent auction and won a maintenance visit. I asked if we could complete the visit before my mastectomy. Not only did they check my HVAC system before my surgery, they sent a beautiful fall flower arrangement for my recovery. So very personal and thoughtful. This Customer-for-Life is exceptionally grateful for a local business that treats customers so well.

Thank you as it is truly a pleasure when you find gem for a service provided. I have to say our experience from the initial visit by John to the scheduling, then the installation and commissioning was seamless and exceptional. When I researched changing a heat pump it said that the install was the most critical piece when picking a heating and air company.

It was quite obvious from the initial start of the install and throughout the day both Kevin and Chris were well trained, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and above all, trustworthy. As I initially mentioned to John, the reason we called Watkins was because of the social media review. We had two other companies over the last month to try and fix our existing unit, neither even doing simple things like keeping appts. and following up with quotes.

We just recently had Watkins replace our AC & furnace and have nothing but great things to say. Greg, Jaccob, Cody were fantastic throughout the entire install day - they kept our house clean, kept us in the loop with how things were progressing, explained the entire system to us in great detail, etc. Also, while some contractors working inside a house may get annoyed with 3 little kids running around all day long here at our home, they interacted great with our kids.

We also really enjoyed working with Jim throughout the entire process as well, making sure we had everything we needed through every step. Thank you Watkins for the great experience!

These guys are fantastic. not only did they not shame me for not replacing the system last summer, but they made sure that I got a great deal on the high end system that I wanted. It's always nice to hear truth from companies, and even though they knew they were getting the sale, they still made sure my little ones were nice and warm until they could get the new system in. Installation was less than a day, professional, clean, and walked me through step by step. If you are looking for high end quality, this is the place. Great financing options if you need it too!

Very pleased with my services completed by this company. My furnace went out & they were able to get to me that same day. The receptionist, Amber, was very friendly on the phone. When asking if they for sure would be able to replace/fix the problem that day she said the technicians are fully stocked with equipment/parts in their vans & in their warehouse, but in the rare case that a special part would need to be ordered then they would supply us with space heaters.

The technician, Chris, called about 20 minutes prior to arrival to say he was on his way & was even courteous enough to ask if I had a preference on where he parked when he arrived. Upon arrival he put booties on so not to track in anything on the floors. He discovered the problem right away, which was a blower motor, and gave us the breakdown of the cost beforehand.

The cost was 1/2 the price of what we were quoted from a nearby competing company! He was here just a little over an hour and was very personable & professional. While working I had asked him several questions in which he answered right away & seemed to be very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this company and intend to use them as my "go to" for any future HVAC needs!

So, this review isn't about service at my home, its about service from the office. David Watkins responded to an email question from me within minutes and helped me research an issue with my system, even when it wasn't necessarily going to result in business. He was more interested in being a responsive businessman/community partner.thats cool. Watkins gets my high recommendation!

We are currently selling my grandfathers home who recently passed away. I am in from Newport Beach California and wouldn't you know as soon as we get here the air conditioner fails it needs to be replaced. I called Watkins heating and cooling. They were timely and made a point to making a service call on the weekend. Ben Freeman and his team of installers were professional throughout the process doing their work with a smile and not making a mess. I recommend without reservation Watkins and their team.

Called to schedule a tuneup on our a/c unit, office was very informative and polite. Andrew came out that week to do the tuneup. Our a/c unit is 14 years old he never once tried to sell us a new system. He came cleaned and did the tuneup. He also made some adjustments to push more air upstairs. Very happy with the company as a whole! It's hard to fine good companies these days! Would definitely use them again!

What a Great Company. When I called Watkins for an appointment, the gentleman who answered the phone was polite and efficient with the appointment and information on when I would expect a service person to show up at my home. The day of the service the gentleman was 15 minutes early. He came in covering his feet so he would not track in any elements from the outside.

After looking at my furnace he shared with me what his recommendations were to fix the problem. He had all the parts and equipment with him and was out of my home with the job completed within one hour. I told the service maine when he was leaving that I would be calling him to service my central air conditioner in the Spring. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Very pleased with the service Watkins provided us. After my initial call, technician Tony came the very next day and got my furnace up and running. Then over the weekend, problems again and on a very cold Saturday night, Troy came out and got us up and running.again. By Monday, no heat again and had to decide to repair or get a new system. Randy Watkins answered many, many questions.

Never felt rushed to make a decision and really appreciated the many "what if." conversations in weighing the pros and cons of repairing or replacing. So (!) we deceived on a new system and Jacob and Travis couldn't have done a better job! These guys worked hard all day and our home is once again warm and toasty! Story gets better. A thank you gift was dropped off with a personal note! Does any other company ever do this?

The people from Watkins Heating and Cooling were very professional and courteous. They installed a new furnace, air conditioner and a Mr Slim all in one day. Everything was cleaned up wonderfully by the time they left and they took their time to make sure I knew how to operate every thing properly. I was very impressed by how they made sure I knew what was happening as they did it and ask me my input.

I especially liked the way they have checks and balances to make sure things get done properly. They made me feel very confident that they knew their business and they were very kind and respectful of my home. I would definitely refer them to my friends.

This company is honest and sincere with the way they interacted with me. When they weren't completely sure about how to do something they let me know and said they would find out. When we needed our A/C repaired, they did thorough testing and fixed what needed to be fixed and did not push for more. From what I understand a portion of there revenue goes to support a worthy cause. I recommend them for your HVAC needs.
