AMS Air Conditioning & Heating

Our ac broke over the weekend. We reached out to Ams through Yelp but a bunch of other contractors messaged us. Since we were desperate, we let one of them come and look at the system. He told us we would need a new compressor which was on back order and we should probably replace the whole system. This would cost from $4000-$12000. The ac unit had been replaced in 2018 and I thought that seemed aggressive. Then Moshe messaged me back. I wanted a second opinion before I was going to spend thousands on a whole new unit. Moshe came on a Sunday morning and he diagnosed it needing a new capacitor (not a compressor) and he fixed it that day for $800. I was elated. I signed a service contract with him. I've seen this show before with HVAC repairmen. Inexperienced and/or dishonest contractors recommend spending thousands on a whole new unit because they don't know what they are doing or are trying to rip you off. Moshe is the real deal!! Experienced and honest. Don't waste your time and money with anyone else.

What a great experience. Moshe came over within an hour of my call he was only about a mile away and could fit me in on his way home on a Friday. I told him I had just changed the start capacitor. So we checked the wiring schematic and found the problem rather quickly. A dear friend of mine recommended Moshe to me years ago. So glad I reached out. Super honest and dependable.

We have been using them for years, and are MUCH better than our old service. They dont try to sell you a new unit unless you absolutely need it, instead he will figure out the problem and fix it if it can be fixed. Their prices are fair, and they do good work. We were able to get 20+ years out of our water heater until it finally needed replaced. I referred them to my neighbor and she has been using them for years now as well. I highly recommend!

This company can't be beat. My A/C went out on a Friday evening with outdoor temps at or near 100. Moshe returned my call within 1/2 hr and he came the next day, first thing in the morning and got the A/C back up in running in less than 20 minutes and for a fair price.

The AMS crew were extremely efficient, gave me lower cost options that others did not mention, diagnosed and repaired in a matter of hours what some other people were telling me would take at least couple of days. AMS saved US this past December. Without any warning our heating system went totally out of commission. After contacting AMS, they quickly scheduled a technician to come to our home the next day. The technician was very professional and polite, He diagnosed the problem and the next day provided quotes. I did my market research and his price was competitive and fair.
AMS was able to procure the equipment needed within a day and we had a newly installed system a day later! I am so thankful.

Moshe and his team are thorough professionals. Our heat pump needed replacement. On a cold and snowy day, he brought the new heat pump and installed them . He also rectified some other defects that he noticed. I would strongly recommend AMS Air Conditioning and Heating .

You should really save the AMP contact information! Especially for an emergency, when my air conditioner or heating system stoped working, AMS was quickly to respond and comes out to fix my system. AMS provides high quality service, the latest heating and cooling systems, and critical spare parts.

AMS replaced my 23 yo furnace and AC the next day after I called. Sold me a Bryant Preferred system installed for $7200. Good deal, excellent installation, and fast response. That night, I messed up the thermostat, and Moshe came back after dinner and corrected the problem without charge. Just what you need when your AC dies during a DC summer!

Really really great service, quality of work, responsiveness, AND prices. Installed an AC unit when the old one died at peak of summer at best price and really fast. They were able to get a brand name unit even during peak COVID supply issue times where everyone else was giving me weeks time-frames to fix.

Had a new HVAC system installed with AMS last month. Moshe was prompt, professional, and to the point - no pressure, no upselling, no fluff. After extensive research, his quote still came below those with comparable experience and reviews. His team was also prompt and respectful. After the installation, I mentioned my concern about a particular fitting; it was actually my misunderstanding, but they came first thing the following morning and replaced it, no questions asked. Its hard to find a contracting company that is going to be responsive, honest, and reasonable, but I finally found one. I service my AC regularly and have had a couple issues. Prior to finding AMS, I used 2 other AC service providers who did not take the time to identify issues and had me waiting for hours for their arrival. AMS' Moshe is punctual, professional, and thorough in finding out what the issues are, if any. I will continue to use AMS and highly recommend them to anyone who needs AC service.

I have been a customer of AMS for quite a number of years. They are my go-to HVAC contractor. I have replaced four complete systems with AMS in four separate houses. Two were renovations, one was a rental property and one my personal residence. Each time the service was prompt and reasonably priced. When a problem came up that caused the system to stop working they came quickly and diagnosed the problem correctly while minimizing my down time.

AMS installed (and still maintains) our HVAC system; quick, clean timely install at a price lower than 2 other quotes for comparable equipment. We are very happy with our AMS-installed system and the continuing service we receive.

Last summer, on a miserably hot day, my AC went out; and this winter, on a miserably cold day, I lost my heat. For both events AMS responded quickly and fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. I admit, I don't have much experience with other heating/AC places; but with the excellent service I got from AMS, I have no need to look for anyone else!

It is not easy to come by today in what is AMS providing while other companies (that I will not mention their names) are charging you extra fees for nothing or using the fact that you might be no so educated and selling you services or parts that you really dont need.

We've been using AMS for almost 15 years. They are very reliable and either show up as per the arranged schedule (90% of the time) or call to reschedule. They've provided various services for our cooling/heating systems. They've fixed a leak in the cooling system; a furnace that wouldn't ignite on its own (an emergency repair on a snowy weekend with a short notice); a humidifier that stopped working, and most recently, brought back to life a heat pump that died due to a short circuit - that's a tough one to fix, given the gazillion of wires in the system. After adding space to the house, they replaced the units with a higher capacity system. If we can't get a live person on the phone, we get a call back within a reasonable time frame. We'd use them again, if needed - so should you!

AMS installed a high efficiency HVAC system in our house about 20 years ago. With prompt services and adequate maintenance the system still works just like a brand new one.
Service calls are returned immediately, service is excellent, and utility bills are very low.
