After getting three quotes for a full AC replacement, New Orleans Mechanical Pros came in with the best price AND the most thorough explanation of what I actually needed. The technician did a proper Manual J load calculation the other companies just eyeballed it. They installed a Carrier 16 SEER2 system in one day, cleaned up everything, and registered the warranty for me. Two months later, my Entergy bill dropped $140 compared to last summer. Our 1890s Creole cottage in the Marigny has quirky ductwork from three different renovation eras. Every HVAC company we called said it was too complicated or quoted us astronomical prices. Good experience overall. They were on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (bad blower motor), and had the part available. The repair took about 90 minutes. My only minor complaint is that they were a bit hard to reach by phone initially - had to leave a voicemail. But once they called back, everything went smoothly. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Would use again.

I called about a strange smell coming from my vents turned out to be a dead animal in the ductwork (not uncommon in older NOLA homes). The technician handled it professionally, sanitized the affected duct section, and did a full duct inspection while he was at it. He found two significant leaks that were costing me money every month. The duct sealing paid for itself within a few billing cycles. Very thorough and no judgment about the critter situation!
